Dis Con 2 Day 4, December 6, 2002
Woke up to gray skies and it was very breezy this am nothing like 11 hours of sleep to recharge the old batteries and after a quick breakfast at Tubbies, was off to explore Epcot for the day. Rode Spaceship Earth after grabbing a large hot chocolate Figment was down wasnt in the mood for Test Track just wandered around perfecting my creative exploring.
Would meet up with a Diser here or there
Had lunch with some of my fellow mods there were here we met at Le Cellier and had a nice lunch together we dont get the chance to meet much and lots of laughs could be heard throughout lunch. After lunch the temperatures were dropping fast so made the executive decision to go back and get warmer clothes for the rest of the day. After putting layers of clothes on including mittens and winter coat was back in Epcot wandering the world showcase. Had a layered margarita (and no one took this one away from me).
Walked right up to the Candlelight Processional that was starting at 5 and was seated and soon taping the performance. Ended up crying through most of it which was healing for me. Saw Marlee Matlin and it was interesting to watch her sign the story and have it interpreted for her. The choirs were good the wind was starting to blow which made the snow hard to see but a nice show.
Soon it was time for Tapestry of Dreams due to the wind it was a shorten version but enjoyed it watched it where it started from Germany one of my favorite spots to do this.
Met up with Disers off and on the whole day. Soon it was time to meet at the special patio just next to France for the highlight of the whole trip the Illumination Dessert Party. Soon wrist bands were attached and we were checked as going in. Great desserts and coffee and hot chocolate were made available.
Soon the show started, I love watching Illuminations here with friends and right at the water level like this. The wind was really kicking up and it was getting colder by the minute. Heard on the news the next morning, that with the wind chill, it was 32 Friday night.
Afterwards groups split up but I headed to bed and soon was crawling into bed with another smile on my face.
Mickey bar total = 2
