Another beer snob here. I've made a point to travel around the country and world trying different beers. Here's my list of my favorites:
Favorite: Murphy's Irish Stout (Guinness a close second - find a pub that serves both on tap and you've found a home)
American: Black Butte Porter, Deschutes Brewery, Bend, Oregon - no other American beer comes close.
Strongest beer that tastes great: Old Rasputin Imperial Stout, North Coast Brewing, California, Alcohol content 9%.
This beer makes you tell stories you'll later be embarrassed about having told: Kilt Lifter, Pike's Place Brewery, Seattle, WA (The name says it all - it'll have you lifting your kilt to the world.)
Favorite Mexican Beer: Negra Modelo w/ a lime (Forget that Corona stuff!)
Favorite Belgium Style Beer: 1554 Black Ale, New Belgium Brewing Co., Ft. Collins, CO (Their most popular beer is "Fat Tire", but their best is 1554).
Best beer that doesn't exist: Duff Beer, Springfield, ?.
Other favorites: Cutthroat Porter (Colorado), XXXXX Stout (Seattle, WA), Smithwicks (Ireland), Acme California Brown Ale (California), Belikin Stout (Belize)
Worst state to try to find these beers in: Florida. Our liquor laws are seemingly run by Anheiser-Busch so if you're a beer snob like me, ask your friends to mail you beer from other places because this place stinks for beer selection!
Level of beer snobbery for me: 9.8 out of 10.
Worst beers: Take your pic: Miller, Bud, Coors, or any of the "lite" variants of these "beers".
