Help! My husband and I are taking our trip to Disney at Christmas (2nd time this year). I've never been at this time of the year, I know it will be crowded but tell me about the rest of it...how do you guys like it at Christmas?

<img src="http://images.quizilla.com/R/Royal-Highness/1036419167_nQuizElite.jpg" border="0" alt="I'm an Elite Fan!"><br>You're a Disney Elite!
You're a true Disney fan.
You know all the details and you've
spent a lot of time obsessing over the
hidden mickeys in Walt's earliest films.
Yay for you. You're smart and you know
what's good in the world of Disney. Some
might call you obsessive, but we know better.
There are plenty of people like you in the world.
You just have to search them out.

We will be there as well and have only been off season. From what I am told be prepared. I have even made PS daily! Oh well, it is Christmas time and where else would I want to be, lol?

We'll be there as well. Be prepared for crowds. But hey you are in Disney and it is Christmas - doesn't get much better.

We stayed at Disney for a few days last Christmas time last year and had a blast! I would recommend getting to the parks before posted opening times. We stayed on property and got in one hour before most poeple knew the MK was open. DH ran to the back of the park and grabbed fastpasses for all of us to Splash Mountain while DS12 rode Big Thunder Mountain 7 times in a row--a dream come true for a pre-teen! DD5 and I stayed inside the front gate to get autographs. There were many characters there, and again no lines! The park had little-to-no lines untill the park had been opened for about 1 1/2 hours.

Another tip would be to take advantage of getting new fastpasses every time your last fastpass time comes up. For example, if our fastpasses had a return time starting at 10:00, we would get new fastpasses for another attraction at 10:00 and and get more new fastpasses as soon as the previous fastpass time came up-whether or not we had used the old fastpasses. We redeemed our fastpasses for Splash Mountain at about 2:00 and walked past people waiting in a 2-hour line! The park was jammed from about 1:00 untill dark and thinned out a about 9:00.

My last tip would be to try to dine at Disney resorts to beat the theme park crowds. A monorail ride to Chef Mickeys is a fun way to take a break enjoy a good meal!

Have a great trip!

Best time of the year to be at WDW. This will be our 5th time over the holiday. Make sure you make your PS's right away. You will find that some of the prime times are already gone.

The parks will be packed, so slow down and enjoy all the special stuff that goes on during the Christmas holiday. If time permits check out the resorts, they have great holiday stuff.

Disney at Christmas is simply amazing, having said that I'd never go at that time again.

The atmosphere and decorations are simply breath taking but the crowds!

The wait times for the rides were easily 1-2 hours for the popular rides. I could do approx 1/2 as much as I can in May for example.

I was also surprised at how many people were there from overseas at this time of year.

Have fun.

My sis and I will be there at Christmas too!! :D We haven't made any PS yet... can't decide on where to eat. Will we be able to get a sit-down meal without PS? Say at Teppanyaki?

You will not get a sit down meal anywhere in WDW over Christmas without a PS. Make them now. I know it is hard to work out a plan this far in advance, but if you don't have some PS you will be eating counter service all week.

We went last year from Dec 29-Jan2. It was beautiful, decorations and lights were spectacular but crowds were horrific. First day at MK, we got there right after park opening and by 3:00pm, we had only ridden three rides!!! I had a friend that took her DD on Christmas Day and crowds were the same. For us, crowds didn't lighten up until Jan 1. Fast Passes go quick. Getting there early is a must and PS is a must if you want to eat at any of the sit-down restaurants. DO NOT MISS Candlelight Processional at Epcot and the Spectacle of Lights at MGM (think they have relocated it for this year due to construction on Backlot). When they give you the 3-D glasses to view the lights, don't throw them away - take them home. They make the lights "twinkle" with two tiny angels around every light. They work on your own Christmas tree lights at home and you can still see the little angels through them. Candlelight Processional is unbelieveable, beautiful singing, lights, and famous person reads Christmas Story every night. The night we went, the lady who was the voice of the little Mermaid was the celebrity guest. ::MinnieMo

We will be there at Christmas too! This is our first time to go during the Christmas holidays. Thanks for the information about the 3D glasses, I had not heard that before. I have not gotten PS yet, but I guess I better get on it. We are going next week and I hope I can do the PS for Christmas then. I can't wait to see Disney at Christmas.
