We're getting ready for our trip and DH says to me "It'll be nice to come home with clean clothes". When we sailed with RCCL there were no laundry facilities so he appreciates Disney even more now ;)

So do you like to come home with clean laundry or do you wait to come home and do it?

Just a fun poll to do :)

We usually come home with clean laundry :-) Even from studio visits

I prefer to come home with clean. I hate the thought of ending my vacation with work. I like to have it done. I also love the fact that since we have washer and dryers we don't have to pack as much. We go during the summer months and it is so hot, we change clothes twice a day. So I can just throw it in the washer and be done. :flower:

HI!

It's so nice to come home and not have to worry about doing the Laundry!

Here's an opposite point of view. My time in Disney is so precious, there's no way I'm doing laundry just so I can bring home clean clothes. (We're going in Aug for 2 weeks, so I will pack for 1 week and do laundry in the middle, but not again at the end.) I'll save the extra laundry for when I get home and I CAN"T go to the parks any more.

Well, I voted for the "Dirty Laundry" option, tho we will keep doing laundry up until that last morning. We usually have about a quarter of or clothes still dirty by check-out and I would just as soon bring them home so I can give them a good dose of fabric softener (something I survive without at WDW). Especially stuff next to the skin, I'd prefer to have some of that nice Downy fluffiness. I wish we could get just a 5-8 load bottle of Downy and pack my own Downy ball on our WDW or VB trips (those dryer sheets just don't cut it for me. YMMV).

We've only been home once, a studio in October 2005. And although we came home with dirty laundry, the laundry facilities at SSR allowed us to pack less clothing for our trip. I planned for some laundry time at the halfway point of our trip. So instead of eight days worth of clothes, we only took five days worth.

And truth be told, I sent DH to do the laundry while I visited the spa and got a pedicure.

Next trip (in May) we're staying in a two-bedroom, so it will be even easier to get some laundry done.

We come home with everything clean except for the clothes we're wearing on the day we're leaving and our pjs from the night before.

I always thought I would hate doing laundry while on vacation, but it really doesn't bother me.. we pack very lightly and it is only one load a day..

now if only I can get our laundry at home under control like when we're at Disney :)

And to waste one, single thought on laundry on my vacation...What are you crazy???!!!???

We bring home some clean clothes, some dirty laundry. We travel very light and throw clothes into the wash on our way out the door in the morning. We put it in the dryer when we get back from the parks. If that means I can carry less clothes to bring more Disney stuff home with me I don't mind thinking a little bit about doing the laundry.

There's nothing nicer than coming home and putting away all your clean clothes! I usually have just a little bit to wash from the day/night before. I usually get all my stuff unpacked and put away the same day we come home. Nothing like having to do many loads of wash after a vacation.

We never used to come home with clean laundry until we went to SSR in October. We figured since we had the time, we'd spend a morning lounging by the pool and doing laundry. Let me just say, it was THE MOST relaxing morning and it was so nice to not have to do a huge pile of laundry when we came home.

I usually stay in a studio.. and at SSR the facilities are right at the pool.. soooo I combine laundry time with pool time and voila.. everyone is happy! I just love doing laundry anyway.. I know.. odd girl out! LOL!!

We use the laundry, but generally only during mid-week and bring home dirty clothes.

I like the idea of clean laundry, but ours seems to wrinkle in the suitcase, so I wash anyway. No biggie to me!

We did laundry for the first time on this last trip and it was nice. We still came home with some dirty but most of it was clean. I didn't waste any of my Disney time doing it either.

We did our loads at night before going to bed and then popped them in the dryer the next morning while getting ready for the day. So no time wasted and we had clean clothes. Loved having the washer and dryer there. Saved so much room in packing.

I pack very lightly and hand or machine wash on vacation. I also do the take things that are almost worn out trick and toss out the items. After my sister had her suitcase inspected and had her dirty clothes gone through and laid around, I minimize dirty clothes that I bring home.

Doing laundry on vacation is the only time I like to do it! :rotfl2:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes to come how with clean laundry! It makes it so much easier to unpack and get settled back into reality :scared1:

I love doing laundry on vacation! :sunny: I put in a load at night, and throw it in the dryer first thing in the morning, so we will have clean laundry every day. We pack lightly, too, only one suitcase, and it's just wonderful to throw all the clean clothes into drawers when we get home! It's the ONLY time I actually like doing laundry! ::yes::

We always bring home clean laundry. There are 6 of us....it's too hard to come home after a great vacation and have to start in on all that laundry. We only pack about 4-5 days worth of clothes per person, then DH or I will do the wash sometime midweek.

We even did the wash in Bermuda one time!! :sunny: We were the only "foreigners" there. :flower3:
