Set my alarm for 6.30am to avail of the early breakfast at 7. There was no hope of Ger waking up in time for breakfast so Arran and I went down and had a lovely breakfast. There I noticed a few spots across Arrans cheek but took no notice of it. I also packed up some of the breads, meats, dairy etc for our lunch :rolleyes1 I know I was naughty but I was following some tips from here!! We went back to the room to collect Ger and were almost at the top of the line for the meet and greet with Mickey Mouse and our crazed autograph hunting had begun.

We headed right to the park then and got in the queue for another meet and greet, again with Mickey!!! Arran has a bit of a liking for Mr Mouse in case you havent guessed. While we were in the queue we played around with a big yellow car which I later figured out belonged to Mary Poppins.

It was another drizzly day so we spent time trying to dodge the showers and trying a few more rides. While exploring we came across this fine fellow

That was about as close as Arran was going to go, he was scared of it, he thought it would move or something!! We wandered around some more.

And then settled down for our picnic lunch and watched some cartoons in this place, I forget the name.

Soon we found ourselves here

for the first of many times. All together now.."It's a small world after all....."
That was followed by Pinocchio, the teacups, Dumbo, the carousel, the maze, Big Thunder Mountain, some of the play areas and Pirates of the Carribbean. Yeah we were busy!!
While sheltering from the rain we happened across this rogue.

Who picked us out of the scrum because we were actually holding back and not jumping on top of him. He noted my accent and commented that we must be from an island with many little green creatures roaming about. Again we watched the dancing in Central Plaza and on the recommendation of some of the review threads went to The Chuck Wagon for a very tasty buffet dinner. We took a very long roundabout way back to the hotel. Oh yeah, we hit Lazer Blast somewhere during the day too.

Once there I realised that the little rash that had started on Arrans face had spread to his whole body and as I couldnt be definate that it wasnt measles I had to phone for the doctor. Now in a Disney Hotel this apparantly involves a visit by a paramedic first- in our case it was a fireman (one of Paris's finest) who came knocking. He didn't do anything so the doctor arrived at 10pm and reckoned that it was a virus and wrote a prescription which we had to hand in at the reception desk. The medicines arrived at midnight so we all had a late night. The doctor had said that if he developed a cough overnight he would have to be kept in the hotel room for the duration of the holiday and he thought the rash would be much worse the next day. Because of that we took advantage of what could be our last nice time in Paris so we stayed out of the room and had a drink while we waited for the medicine.

Another great day except for your poor DS, I hope he gets better for the rest of the trip

what a busy second day. oh your poor little boy i hope he was alright

Oh, I hope Arran's rash isn't too serious & you can continue to enjoy your holiday. I love the Jack Sparrow photo.

Oh no i hope your little boy was ok.

A fireman coming instead of a paramedic? Weird.

your poor son. we had to have a doctor for my mother after she threw up outside the disney shop in disney village then passed out.
she was driven back to the hotel by a manager and well looked after. This was during our first trip in 2000.

looking forward to reading more of your trip. x x
