directions to grocery stores

Will be driving to WDW from airport. Can anyone give me specific directions to locate a grocery store so that we can stop and get a few supplies. Doesn't have to be the cheapest one, just one that is convenient. We don't have any directions.

You will have 2 options leaving the Airport 528 toll road or 417. I like the toll road it seems shorter to me.
If you are staying at walt disney world you can follow most of these directions. If I knew where you were staying I could give you better directions.

FROM ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL 417

When leaving the airport look for signs for South Exit 417. Travel for about 4.5 miles where you will filter right by a road bridge signed posted for Tampa/Disney World. You will now be on the Greenway 417 South.

Take Exit 2, Celebration Avenue (Highway 192)

Once through the exit toll turn right, get over into the left hand lane, down to a set of traffic lights, there is a large water tower on your right, turn left onto Highway 192 (West), keep to the left hand lane, this is Marker 8. You will go through 5 sets of traffic lights.


You turn left at the next set of traffic lights just after Marker 5 and where the Best Western is situated on the right. This is Formosa Gardens and on the left hand side of the road is a Red Lobster Restaurant and on the right hand side is the Denim World Shop and Taco Bell fast food restaurant.
There is a grocery store in this shopping center on your right side when you turn ont to Formosa Garden Blvd.


FROM ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL 528 TOLL ROAD

When leaving the airport look for signs for North 528 Exit 1B. Travel for about 7.3 miles where you will 1st toll $0.75, 2nd toll $0.75. Look for I4 West towards Tampa/Disney World for 5.9 miles.

We will be staying at Bonnet Creek, which I understand is right next to CBR. Which of your directions are best for that resort?

Which ever of the above ways you decide to get to your resort (You can also take I-4 from the airport via the North exit. You stay on I-4 until you get to the exit for Epcot Center Drive/536. It too is about the same distance.) The road that you follow into WDW property is 536. It is also called Epcot Center Drive, once you enter WDW property. If you go the opposite direction on 536, east, you'll go past the Marriott World Center. It's a huge resort that you can't miss. Opposite the MWC is the Nickelodeon Kid Suites Resort. Shortly past the MWC you'll come to an intersection for International Drive South - It will be past 535, and you can only go north on "I-Drive South" from that intersection. Follow that road for a few miles. When you get to the Premium Outlet Mall, across the parking lot is another strip mall with a Publix grocery store. It's close, it has a good selection, it has beer/wine, it has lots of prepared foods (salads, snadwiches, cooked chicken) and has relatively good prices.
There's a Walmart on 192, that is also not too far, but we found that they really tended to specialize in mega boxes, which was far more than we needed for a week long stay. Also, the selection wasn't that great, and the prices weren't that fabulous. Publix prices aren't super low, but reasonable for normal sized boxes of cereal, and the like.

I normally don't love Walgreen's, but the Orlando area has a lot of them, and many are open 24hrs. They aren't a bad place to stop for things like small sized laundry soap. If you're more inclined to buying diapers and sun tan lotion, and only want milk, water, cereal and chips, Walgreen's are pretty convenient.

We had a hard time using the grocery store directions posted on Alleasrsnet.

Ok the directions I have are not going to take you in the right direction. Here are directions from the airport to where you are staying according to map quests....

1: Start out going SOUTH on AIRPORT BLVD W / AIRPORT BLVD toward S ACCESS RD. Continue to follow AIRPORT BLVD W. 0.8 miles Map

2: Stay STRAIGHT to go onto S ACCESS RD. 3.5 miles Map

3: Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto BOGGY CREEK RD. 0.5 miles Map

4: Merge onto FL-417 S / CENTRAL FLORIDA GREENEWAY toward TAMPA / DISNEY WORLD (Portions toll). 10.7 miles Map

5: Take the INTERNATIONAL DR exit- EXIT 6- toward SR-535 / I-4 E / SR-536. 0.6 miles Map

6: Merge onto WORLD CENTER DR toward SR-536 / SR-535 / I-4 / TAMPA / DISNEY WORLD. 1.1 miles Map

7: Stay STRAIGHT to go onto FL-536 W / WORLD CENTER PKWY. Continue to follow FL-536 W. 1.0 miles Map

8: Stay STRAIGHT to go onto EPCOT CENTER DR. 1.2 miles Map

9: Take the ramp toward DISNEY / MGM STUDIOS / EPCOT RESORT AREA / WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS. 0.3 miles Map

10: Merge onto E BUENA VISTA DR. 0.2 miles Map

11: Turn LEFT onto BACKSTAGE LN. <0.1 miles Map

12: End at 9560 Via Encinas

Thanks, everyone. I printed off the directions and I think we can find our way there now. Only two weeks till we go!!!

once you are off 417 at ID (536) (exit 6) - at the traffic light turn right now you are on ID - about 4 miles (might be less) is vineland ave - there is a nice new Public here on the left of ID. (HGVC is across the street) so is Premium Outlet - but you won't see that.

to get back just go back on ID turn right.

go back to where 417 - turn right (left is 417) - now you are on 536 International Drive which becomes Epcot center - you need to turn off - I like the first turn off - OKW is across the street - turn left to FBC. oh this exit says it is DD.

now from FBC I like the store on US 192 - out of FBC turn left - past CBR turn left - then pass Pop turn right - get in the left lane - you are going like to AKL but you are turning left before AKL at the traffic light - you are now on Sherberth Road - before it hits US 192 turn right - Black Lake - stay on this until it deadends at US 192 - then in the next shopping mall down on the right is the Publix. this publix is at Orange Lake.
