directions-MCO to HRH?

Can anyone help with directions? I have been searching the boards like crazy (it says the search feature has been disabled). Is there any way to avoid I4? Also, is there a supercenter close by? I am renting a car and am used to driving in a small rural town, so I'm very antsy about the traffic. I would just go with the town car service, but I got the rental car cheaper (for 3 days). Thanks so much.

I don't have directions, but the rental car employees are usually pretty helpful with such requests. You can tell them you would like to avoid I4. Also, if your rental has a GPS system (as many of them now do) you can program your destination and indicate that you would like to avoid I4.

Before leaving AR, you might try mapquest.com (or some similar website) and see if it will give you directions without laying rubber on I4.

The drive from MCO to HRH is only about 15 minutes ( if not during rush hour traffic). There is several supercenters nearby. The HRH is on Universal Blvd. When you exit the hotel, make a right and go a few milesuntil you reach SandLake road ( huge intersection) make a left and there is a super Walmart about 2 miles up on your right, with many other shops in the center also. I believe it's about a 10 minute drive.

MCO to HRH and avoiding I-4 - interesting

with this one you do not go on I-4 but stay on Sand Lake to S Kirkman- about 5 min longer driving time but this way will bring you by wal-mart on sand lake

1. Start on AIRPORT BLVD 0.7
2. Continue on S SEMORAN BLVD 0.0
3. Take the FL-528 ramp 0.3
4. Merge on FL-528 2.2
5. Take the MCCOY RD exit 0.3
6. Continue on MCCOY RD 0.2
7. Turn Right on MCCOY RD/SAND LAKE RD 0.7
8. Continue on SAND LAKE RD 3.5
9. Continue on SAND LAKE RD/W SAND LAKE RD 2.0
10. Bear Right on RAMP 0.5
11. Continue on S KIRKMAN RD 1.5
12. Turn Left on MAJOR BLVD 0.2
13. Turn Right on UNIVERSAL BLVD 0.1
Distance: 12.3 miles Approximate Travel Time: 22 mins
