Directions: MCO to CBR? (Sorry - know it's probably been asked before.)

We've driven in Orlando/Lake Buena Vista before. However, we've never stayed at the CBR.

We'll be arriving late, probably not leaving MCO until 11:30 p.m. - if that makes a difference traffic-wise.

What would be your suggested route from the airport to the Caribbean Beach Resort?

These directions assume you're getting a rental car at the terminal.

Leaving the parking garage, follow the signs for the SOUTH EXIT out of the airport. This will take you to the 417 (aka Central Florida Greenway) via Boggy Creek Road. Once on 417, you'll have 2 toll plazas for $1 each. After the 2nd toll, take exit 6 which will put you on 536. Continue straight on this road past 535 and I-4. (You'll also pass the Marriott Orlando World Center on the right and HIFS on the left.)

Just after I-4, you'll pass under the WDW welcome arch. After passing the under the WDW welcome arch, follow the signs for MGM/Epcot resort area - it should be the 2nd exit after the arch. This will put you on Buena Vista. Get over to the left - CBR is the 2nd traffic light, I think.

You're familiar with WDW so you know the signage is pretty good. The signs from the terminal at MCO onto 417 are also good. Hope this helps.

I agree with those directions. 417 is great!!!! No traffic and you are there in no time. We just returned from CBR yesterday and took the route posted above.

GOING FROM MCO TO CBR IN 2 WEEKS.. RENTING A CAR AND WOULD LIKE TO STOP A STORE TO PICK UP SOME WATER, GROCERIES, ESSENTIALS. CAN ANYBODY MODIFY THESE DIRECTIONS TO INCLUDE A STOP AT A STORE.. MUCH APPRECIATED..

When you are on 535 there is Goodings and I think a little further down is a Publix.

CBR via Publix #1

About 3-4 miles on the left you will see the Premium Outlet Mall on the left. Publix is right across the street.

When done shopping, go back out to International Drive and take a right. Follow it to the end and turn right which will put you on 536. Continue straight on this road past 535 and I-4. (You'll also pass the Marriott Orlando World Center on the right and HIFS on the left.)

At the next set of lights (SR535) take a left. Follow that to just before the road ends at US192. On your left you'll see a 7-11 and a Burger King. Turn left at that set of lights. Publix is in that shopping plaza.

When finished, go back out to SR535 and turn right. gradually get over to the left lane. Follow 535 back to the 3rd set of lights (SR536). Take a left. Continue straight on this road past I-4. (You'll also pass the Marriott Orlando World Center on the right and HIFS on the left.)
