Directions from Summer Bay to WDW

A few years ago I saw a post about the "back way" from Summer Bay to WDW. I believe it was Sherbeth Rd???? Anyway, I can't find the post.... can ayone refresh my memory??

192 East to Black Lake Road make LEFT (stop light). At the stop sign turn LEFT onto Sherberth. At the light turn RIGHT and follow signs for parks

We live out on 192, near Summer's Bay, and, honestly, the "back way" isn't worth it unless you are 1. going to Animal Kingdom or 2. visiting during that week between Christmas and New Year's. Otherwise, it's significantly quicker to just take 192.

Oh, and another "back way" is to take 429 North to the Disney World exit (it will be the first exit you come to after getting onto 429 from 192). That will take you to the Western Way, which will drop you off near Coronado Springs.

Ok.... so if we didn't take the back way..... we would take 192 to 429?

Does 429 have a street name also???

Our first night, we need to get to the Wilderness Lodge from Summer Bay.....
what is our best way there??

429 is a toll road. You can pick it up on 192.

To get to WL from SB you can take 192 to 429 get off at Western Way and follow the signs for MK and then MK resorts. You will go through the toll booth at MK, get in the FAR RIGHT LANE (just tell em you are eating at WL) and then at the stop light, turn RIGHT.

Traffic has been a witch lately so either take the 429 or Black Lake/Sherberth Rd way. I would avoid going all the way up 192 with all the lights and traffic it has been a royal pain the last few days

One more question about the Sherbeth Way.....

If I remeber correctly, Sherbeth ends at a light. AKL is to the left. If I make a right, eventually I will see the AllStars on the right hand side as I go over an overpass??? If I stay straight on that road, I pass the Swan and Dolphin and TL????

I guess as long as there are enough signs pointing me where I need to go, I will be OK???

Yes, you will see AS and Mc'D's on your right as you go over the overpass but you won't see Swan/Dolphin/TL. You will make a LEFT to get to MK,EP,MGM and there are plenty of signs before it. Should you miss the signs....at the light at WWOS you can make a LEFT and that will take you the back way to Pop Century. At the light AFTER PC turn LEFT and THAT will take you past the Swan/Dolphin. To get to TL turn RIGHT at that light.
