Directions from Sanford Airport

Hi....we will be flying into sanford....this is a first for us...always before into MCO....can someone please give me directions...i think you can get on the 417 but unsure...any help wold be great...thanks..amy

You're on the right track -- take Lake Mary Blvd to 417 to Osceola Parkway and eventually you'll come up on the WDW exits. They're toll roads though, so have a few dollars on hand!

The easist way is go out the main airport exit and take a right on Lake Mary Blvd. Take a left at the lights onto SR417. The tolls are about $6.00 to the Disney exits.

If you would rather do it for free (and possible a lot longer time depending on the time of day) you can continue on Lake Mary Blvd to I4 and take I4 west down to Disney. I4 can be a miserable drive if you are traveling during the rush hours.

Thanks so much....sounds like an easy drive on 417...we usually take this route when coming from MCO....we don't mind the tolls..rather pay tolls than be on I4....2 weeks and I am there.... amy

Disney exits are 6 or 3.

Written driving directions from Sanford as well as MCO and Tampa to each WDW resort can be printed out on Deb's site. They even include grocery stops should you need them.

THe directions sound easy enough. How far is it? We are possibly flying into sanford too. Also what about rental cars?

All the major rental companies have a Sanford location. We're renting at Sanford and dropping the car off when we arrive at the Dolphin (we're staying at BW). The drive is about 45 miles, about an hour's drive, but taking the toll roads makes it less of a traffic headache!
