Directions from MCO to WDW and then to Avis

Hi there, our plans changed due to the closure of RonJons. We are staying at WDW before the cruise. Anyone have driving directions from the airport to WDW and from WDW to Avis Car Rental by the Radisson? Any grocery stores on the way? Gotta stock up on Pepsi. Thanks!

Definitely take 417 to WDW. Follow the signs to the South Exit of the airport, and then get on 417. Once you get close to WDW, there will be plenty of signs. The tolls will be around 2.50 (the fifty center will be exact change only). If you go to the North Exit, you can take 528 to I-4, but that way tends to have a lot more traffic.
To get to the port area, take 528 all the way. Exit at A1A, and the Avis location will be on your right. There is a Raceway gas station before it where you can top off the tank. It's very easy to find.

There is a Kroger grocery store fairly close to the port--I don't remember the exit off of 417--but it was very close to getting to the Banana River bridge (before it though.)

SueEllen... did you mean Publix? As far as I know, there aren't any Krogers in Florida. They tried to enter the market several years ago, but Publix and Winn Dixie ran them out of the market.

When you leave out of Orlando - these are the backroad directions that all the locals take to avoid all that traffic.

Take Cargo Road (looks like a back road) and follow that to Narcoossee Road, make a right on Narcoossee and 5 miles down the road is a Publix supermarket and a Walgreens. A 1/4 mile past is 417 which you need to take South and just follow the signs for Disney. This is the way the locals go.

None of us take 528 or 417 to the airport. We go through the back road. It looks like you are parallel to the runways, but it will lead you out of the airport to the main road (Narcoossee) which sits between 417 and 528.

We are arriving around 10 at night so we will avoid traffic anyway. If we take the 417 is there a grocery store along the way??
