Directions from MCO to DTD?

Hey Everyone - We are leaving for WDW is a week. Our flight gets into MCO at 9am on Friday and we were wanting to visit DTD until it was time for us to go to our resort (staying offsite, with a rental car). Could someone please tell me the easiest way to get there from MCO. Thanks a Ton.

From OIA, take Rt 528 West (Beach Line - toll) to I-4 West to Exit 68 (Rt 535) north...turn right at bottom of exit ramp...

Then left at the light across from the Crossroads shopping plaza. You'll be on Hotel Plaza Blvd. Go to the end of HPB and DTD will be right in front of you. Turn left to access the DTD parking lots.

I'd offer pretty much the same directions but here's a little more detail.

When exiting the airport property look for the signs directing you to the North Exit onto route 528. At the 528 interchange go West on 528 to I-4. At the I-4 interchange be sure to take I-4 West (I think it'll say Tampa). At exit 68 stay to the right to turn right but get into the left right-turn lane (there are two right turn lanes, just don't get into the right most lane). Once you've turned onto SR 535 after the exit ramp, move over to one of the left lane but don't get all the way over into the first left turn lane. After the first opportunity to turn left (I think it goes into a gas station, maybe also a hotel) get into one of the left turn lanes and turn left onto Hotel Plaza Blvd.

As noted by the PP, continue to the traffic lights at the end of HP Blvd. and bear slightly left onto North Buena Vista Drive. Stay, or get into the right most lane and turn right (not left as PP advised) into one of the DTD parking lots.

Downtown Disney is a nice place to spend some time before checking in at your resort.

We always take south Access Road out and then you take a right onto 417 Central Florida Greenway (toll road). Keep going to 536 world center drive exit on the right. Then go to to North Buena vista Drive this is also a right turn. This will take you right to downtown disney. This way you will stay off of I-4.

My two cents worth or should I say 2 hundredths of a cent since this is micro-detail:

* then turn left at the first light (Frontage), a little over a mile to the next light (Conway) where you take two lefts in quick succession to get onto 528 west.

Leaving as a "conspicuous" rather than hidden secret (when you follow this route) the reason why, or you can PM me.

I agree with this one. The Greenway is not as busy as the Beachline & I-4. 536 is exit 6, right after the second toll plaza.
