Directions From Airport?

We're going to WDW POR next October for the first time. Just slightly worried about driving over there. We're flying into Orlando International. Is WDW well sign posted as soon as you leave the airport??

I can just imagine my hubby if I send him the wrong way.

We hired a car for the first time last December and were pretty worried about dirving but it was fine, much nicer than driving in the UK.

If i remember rightly when you come out of the hire car place there are massive signs about your head in each lane to tell you which direction to go in. We did print off directions from dollar before we went though just in case.

From the airport, follow the airport signs to the south exit.

Go south to 417 south (toll road). (about 3 miles from the airport)

Take 417 south to EXIT 6. Exit to the right onto 536.

Stay in the center lane on 536. This road takes you straight into Disney.

After you pass under the Disney World ARCH, take the first exit to the right.

Go straight at the light onto Bonnett Creek Parkway.

Follow the signs to POR, it will be on your right.

Well said. Driving in the USA in my opinion is far less stressful than over here. Most people have automatics so they all pull off at nice speeds, there is no drag racing away from traffic lights etc. The roads are wider and once you get used to travelling on the 'wrong' side, you'll be fine.

Yes. to answer your questions, there are signs everywhere that direct travellers to "Disney World" or any parks. There are several signs that you see right after renting your car and driving off that alert you that the Airport's 'South Exit" is the way to get to get to WDW.

Who are you renting your car with? DO NOT follow the signs for disney when you get out of the airport we got hopelessly lost last year, thought we'd try and be clever and ignore rental company's directions and take signs for WDW it took us 2 hours to get there (shoulda been 1/2 hour)

Whats wrong with the signs? They lead directly to WDW.
