Hey everyone. Looking for a little help here. After multiple trips to disney and taking Tiffany Town car, DBF and I are going to rent a car this time. We really wanted to venture out of the world this time. So here is my request. We love that fact that Tiffany always stopped at what I think is a publix along the way for a grocery stop. We are staying in a 1Br for 10 days and would love to stock up on food.

Please, can someone give me VERY SPECIFIC directions on how to get from MCO to the Publix then from there to BWV.

I have never driven a car within 1000 miles of Florida so I know nothing about the roads. I'm sure many of you have made this drive 100x so please share with me your knowledge.
thanks so much!

1) take the 417 towards WDW

2) exit at 535

3) from the exit, turn right onto 535

4) turn right again towards the Premium Outlets (there is a Holiday Inn on your right, and the Marriott Village will be on your left past the turn)

5) drive past the church and the Premium Outlets, past Dolly's Dinner Theater, until you have the Hilton Vacation Club on your right - turn right into Publix

(There are faster ways, but the above is the most clearly marked with easy to find attractions)

You can exit Publix and turn left, then right onto I-Drive, which will bring you back to step 2. Turn right back onto 535

1) at Hotel Plaza Blvd turn left

2) at Downtown Disney light turn left

3) this will bring you past DTD and PI. Continue on this road past the Reedy Creek (old) fire station and Boardwalk will be on your left

Hope that helps!

Bavaria,
I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. Thank you soo soo much. Also, it looks like we'll be at WDW at the same time. Maybe I'll see you at Publix!
Thanks again.

I'll be at Publix at on the 22nd to stock my fridge at CBR! and my friend is bringing 2 kids to the GF so we'll be making a few more visits!

That Publix is great since there are not a lot of residences around, so it's often empty empty empty. Love the Walgreens next door too as it's less busy.

And for anyone needing a Starbucks fix, park at the Premium Outlets in the back near the bus area (by Bass) and you'll be closest to Starbucks in the food court.

Oh my..... too many trips.....

:bounce:

Step #4 - the road you're turning onto is Vineland Ave., if that helps you a little more.

(not to be confused with 535, which is either Apopka-Vineland or Kissimee-Vineland, depending on where along it you are)

Edit to add: I know you asked for Publix, but there's a fairly nice (probably not quite as nice as the Publix) Winn Dixie store on 535, about half a mile past the Crossroads shopping center. To get there instead of the Publix (might be a little faster to get there and back), follow the directions above up through step 3, don't turn onto Vineland, but continue on 535, the store will be on your right hand side. From there, to get to the hotel, turn left out of the store, and turn right on Hotel Plaza Blvd, then follow bavaria's directions from there.

A quicker route would be to take 417 (south exit out of the airport) to the Ocesola Parkway (1 exit beyond 535) get off and make a right turn (this is a exact change exit only) go to the first traffic light you will see the gaylord palms hotel make a left, you will be on international drive south about 100 yards down the road you first shoping plaza on the left will have a publix.

to get back to the boardwalk exit the same entrance you came into the shoppng plaza, make a right back onto international drive south and go back to the light at the gaylord palms make a left turn onto the Ocesola parkway, once you go through the disney arch (about a 1/2 mile up the road) the first traffic light after the arch wil be at the wide world of sports, turn right here on to victory way, take this road to the second traffic light (the road ends there) turn left at the next traffic light turn right the boardwalk entrance will be your first left turn directly across from the hess station.

..until you have the Hilton Vacation Club on your right - turn right into Publix..

The Publix is actually across the street from the HGVC. You need to turn left into the Publix/shopping center parking lot if you are coming from this direction. It's a great Publix - very new. We shopped there the end of July - much shorter lines than the Publix on 535/192 - and the prices are SO much better than Goodings.
