Hi All, we fly in using Southwest and rent a car. We have done this for years, however, about half the time we miss the signs for the car rental return and have to keep driving around the airport until we do see it. It's so frustrating. So I'm hoping someone can help with better directions or land marks to watch for while trying to return the car. So we will be flying Southwest, returning to Hertz and will be going to MCO via 417. Any help would be great. TIA

Try this link: MCO car rental return . I went to google maps and enter the text of this link. You can zoom into the map to see the landmarks for switch t to satellite mode to see actual photos of the area. There are not much any landmark, we usually just drive slower and the passenger watches the signs.

We know the pain, lol! My only suggestion is to go slow (obviously!), when we return to Alamo for Jet blue, it's a "hard" left on the side-we have passed it, my advice is just to circle the airport again, try not to leave the airport property. I think it's confusing, do you go by your air line, or follow the rental car sign?? I think we figured out to follow the airline sign, then there should be a rental car drop off for that area. So when we drop off for Jet blue, and enter the airport, the Jetblue terminal is right there.

There are two sides for car rentals, so I’d just follow the rental return signs. Takes down the stress, because if you miss it there’s another side to go.

Head to the correct terminal for Southwest, then stay in the left lane and go slowly around the bend. It's a left into the lot. Read the signs carefully to get to your rental, staying left and going slow enough is the key.

Clarifying that Southwest is Terminal A. We just did this a week or so ago and had to cross several lanes very quickly to get to the rental car return in the left lane and almost missed it. So reiterating the importance of keeping left and going slow, look closely at the signs. Once you return the car and walk into the terminal, Southwest will be all the way to the left.

As others have stated two sides at MCO and it doesn't really matter which side you choose. I travel every week and if rental car return doesn't come up automatically in google maps, I just exit out of gps directions once I'm on airport property. This helps keep me focused on looking for the rental car return signs.

Looking at the maps/signs, Southwest is Terminal A. You first see signs for Terminal A with airlines for that terminal. Then as you get closer, the overhead signs start to reference "Rental Car" returns.

You should be in the left lane. The final rental car sign is on a pole in the ground and it is a left hand turn.
