how long, total, did this take to do? including travel time? I am still debating not getting off ship at Nassau or doing the dolphin encounter w/ my DD. What are the pros & cons of booking privately instead of through Disney?

Takes about 2-3 hours. You go with a large group, and the sales pitches take a little while as well.
