Okay. We have MYW passes (not hoppers). Can we go to AK, hop on the monorail to MK to catch the bus to the Wilderness Lodge and see Hoop-De-Doo-Revu? We'd probably have to park at MK in the morning and take "whatever" to AK in order to do that, right? Will we be let in to MK to just take the monorail???

Sorry, no. One problem is the monorail doesn't go to Animal Kingdom - the monorail only goes to Epcot and Magic Kingdom, and passes through 3 resorts.

Hoop-De-Doo is at Fort Wilderness, not Wilderness Lodge.

I believe you can catch a bus to Fort Wilderness from any park and the Transportation and Ticket Center. It sounds like you are driving in, so I would consider driving from your park to Fort Wilderness for the show.

Let me take a stab at this. If you want to park at MK, you'll be parking at the TTC. From there, if you want to rid the Monorail you can ride it either to MK or Epcot, then grab the AK bus from whichever one you choose. You don't need "hoppers" to do this. After AK you could take the bus back to MK, then get the Fort Wilderness boat from there. Hoop-De-Doo is at Fort Wilderness Campground, not at Wilderness Lodge. After Hoop-De-Doo take the boat back to MK then the Monorail back to TTC.

How'd I do? Anybody catch any mistakes or misinformation there?

You don't actually go into the park to ride the monorail at MK.

If you park at the TTC, there is a bus to AK from there. There are no busses to other parks from the MK gates, they are from TTC to MGM and AK. You take the monorail to Epcot.

Then bus it back to your car at the TTC. Drive to Fort Wilderness for HDDR and you are set.

So, to summarize things (and probably muddy the waters some more )

1. Yes you can park at the TTC.
2. Take the bus to AK from the TTC
3. Take the bus back to the TTC from AK

If you don't want to take your car to FW, the rest depends on what HDDR show you are going to:
IF MK is open,

4. Take the monorail to MK and then the boat (or bus) to FW
5. After the show, take the boat back to MK and monorail to the TTC.

IF MK is closed

4. Take the bus from the TTC to FW.
5. Take the bus back to the TTC after HDDR.

There is no FW bus at the TTC when MK is open

FYI, if you take your car to FW, you will still need to take an internal bus to get to Pioneer Hall (where HDDR is).
