Direct flights from K/W to MCO on Wesjet this winter!

Westjet just announced they will be offering direct flights from the K/W airport to MCO on Thursdays from mid December - April. Flight leaves at 9:45 and gets to Orlando at 12:30, return flight leaves at 2:00 and gets home at 4:40. For a lark i priced out leaving Christmas Eve & coming back New Years Eve and it came to $336.91 CAD all in. Not bad if you ask me! Nice to note with this airport is that since there is really only one runway there is NO need to get to the airport crazy-early & parking is reasonable.

Just thought i'd share for anyone who considers using Buffalo as an alternative to Pearson ... the exchange is brutal right now and we've had nothing but great service at K/W

Wow! That's amazing! I wish I could take advantage of it! We spent last Christmas at Disney. This year we promised extended family we'd stay home. But I am oh so tempted!

There is a sale now so these prices won't last long. The only negative is that you will need to clear US customs in Orlando.

Wow that's awesome. Too bad it's not on the weekends too but I'm kinda glad it isn't since I bought tickets out of Buffalo recently and wouldn't be able to go Thursday to Thursday because of work.

That is a great price, it has jumped to just over 400.00 return which is still great for over Christmas!

The westjet Mickey Plane is on it's way to Waterloo , scheduled to land at 6:29 PM, hopefully I can get a picture.

We live under the flight path and see the Westjet flight most days and have never seen the Mickey plane going into Waterloo.

We are flying to MCO on AA in August from Waterloo and it is so easy compared to Toronto and even Buffalo.

I Was on the Inaugural flight of the WJ Mickey Plane DEC 3, 2013! from Calgary to MCO -- best flight of my life I was drinking the pixie dust Kool-aid They had a reception with every one on the plane getting different mickey ears and gift bags, honestly it was the first time I wasn't afraid to fly, LOL...such a fun flight with a great crew! I will always remember it and SMILE

AND for those of you are collectors, I noticed late yesterday that these flights are showing up on the Airmiles site too! Won't start a discussion as to the validity of how peeps use these treasures, but if you Do fly with them, no need to go to Pearson anymore WOOT

This is the same flight that they had last year out of London. Unfortunately-for me, who booked the anticipated schedule in JANUARY-the season starts late, and my flight in November is no more. I had to pay an EXTRA $500 to get me to MCO on AC out of London for the November flight. Did manage to keep my WJ inbound flight in December. Colour me sad-and empty-pocketed.
