Direct Buy points +Resale points=add on?

Hello everyone,

Hope everything is great, I just have question regarding adding up points. We bought direct from Disney and now want to add more points. But since the pp has gone up to 220 we were thinking of buying resale. Now the question is if we can merge our direct buy points with resale? I know last year they made lots of restrictions on resale. So now we are stuck thinking to go or Not
Any suggestions? Thanks and appreciated

Resale points will always hold their restrictions. So you cannot book new resorts with them, or Disney Collection.

If you buy the same resort and UY, they will be part of the same membership.

So, you will be able to combine the points at 11 months for that home resort, At 7 months, you will be able to use the points together for any of the L14 resorts, You will only be able to use the direct points for stays at RIV and future resorts, Resale points bought now are not eligible for those places

If yoy buy RIV resale, those points can only be used to book at RIV and are not eligible to be used with your current points anywhere

You are right, we are hence confused weather to invest in resale or direct since the price per point has gone up.

Totally agree with you, it’s a huge bummer ever since resale restrictions has come RR is such a beautiful resort and thus we are confused to either go direct or resale.We would have bought direct by now if the price per point was not 220
