Direct buy options

Disney is selling the poly and aulani now. Does that mean it's basically impossible to do a direct buy at any other resorts?

Our first purchase, via resale, is at Disney for ROFR right now. I'm already thinking ahead to adding on points. We would love to do a direct buy for the member extras but have no interest in owning at either of those resorts. They just aren't ones we would stay at regularly. I want to be able to book at 11 months out at the place we will go more often than not.

You would need to contact your guide to see your options which seem to change daily.

Yes, but as I posted, the options change almost daily. One day they are taking requests, the next day they aren't. They get other resort points back daily, sometimes they package the contracts for sale by their 2 resale partners, other times they strip the contracts and just sell the points. It's all about what pays them the most.

Some buyers go on a wait list that can last for months, others make their purchase immediately. Depends on several factors including resort, number of points, UY and factors that we don't know about.

Best just to contact them and let DVC know what your looking for. I'm sure something will come up in a month. Just be sure you are ready to buy when they call..... Like at 7:30 am on a Monday......

You can do an add-on to your existing Use Year. If you want a different UY, they may require you buy more points.
