Direct Air.. Bankruptcy notice in mail

I just wanted to post this in case it helps anyone.
I received 2 notices from the U.S. bankruptcy court today. Both were for claims against DirectAir. While I was refunded by my credit card company, it does have deadlines for filing of a claim etc. and other pertinent details. I will call my credit card company today to see if there is anything further that they need from me regarding this issue. I suspect there isn't though, because I did receive notice from them that both claims were legitimate, all proof required had been submitted and that my case was closed.

At any rate, watch your mailbox as I imagine all of us that had a DirectAir claim will receive these notices.

ETA) these notices may be especially important for those who were not protected by a credit card company and have not received a refund. Basically it states to get legal advice though.

Yes, we just received the notice as well. We are Canadian as well.

I was issued a "dispute credit" on my credit card back in March ( Bank of Montreal) . I was unsure if I was to do anything in regards to this notice.
I phoned my credit card company and they said I was issued the credit, so I am good, no need to file.
Hope that was the right information....our flights were booked for aug. of this year.
I seem to recall the agent that issued me a refund back in March stating that Direct Air ( or the trustees representing them) had 99 days to claim their money back after a dispute has been issued. it hasn't been 99 days since the refund was issued.
Wish I understood bankruptcy law a little better....:confused3
We have until Sept. 11 / 12 to file a claim.

I am thinking this is for those who have not been issued a refund yet.

I think so as well. Or those who used debit or cash and have to file because they didn't have credit card protection.
