When you do a direct add on of points does it stay as a “separate contract” so if you go to sell in the future you would sell those add on points separate than your original purchase?

Was CCV ever a 25 point add on?

ETA: asking because we just bought 100 points and now I kinda want a few more just cover us in certain times but I think 25 pts at CCV with March UY will be a unicorn, if the above question is how it works.

Yes, separate contract but obviously same UY and home resort will make it feel like you have 1 contract

When you buy, you are buying a deeded real estate interest so the contract itself can never change. You don't really add on to contracts. You are adding on to a membership, so they will always remain as individual contracts that can be sold later on.

Same owners and same UY go into the same membership and will be listed as such in your account. If they are a different UY or have different owners, then it creates an entirely new membership for you, but you would still see each membership listed in your DVC account.

As above, same UY, same owners goes into the existing membership. If it's the same resort, the points can be used at 11 months as if one pool of points - during booking, you just have to check off each contract that you want to use. We have our BWV points split into 2 contracts, and until we started being able to book online, I forgot we had 2 contracts because it was seamless to use the points together.

I cannot recall a time when you could buy just 25 CCV points. It doesn't mean it did not happen, but I don't remember it.

I am pretty sure that CCV started at 50 points as the minimum add on for everyone.

Oh no! Thats a bummer, we really didnt want 150 points, 100 was good for us but Im nervous now with the 50% borrowing restriction, 125 would have been the max needed or else we would have just gone direct!

I’m honestly not sure, maybe you could get less than 50. We just bought a direct add on of 50 AKL and I asked for closing costs for a few point amounts, 40 was on that list. Also asked for a CCV price list in the same email — no mention of it not being possible for CCV if we went that route. I would ask a guide — I ended up with a really sweet and helpful guide by using the sales chat. She helped us make our purchase!

I provided cc information tonight at 5:30 PM and the points were in our account tonight at 8:30 PM 😊

So I saw on the board sponsor site a 25 pt CCV contract!!! Wrong UY for us but they must be out there!!

You should now be able to buy a CCV 25pt add on direct from DVC.

Going forward, it'd be quite unfair for existing owners of CCV (or RIV) in your exact position to be forced to buy 50 points when you just want to add 25 more points. The 50 pt min does makes sense when the resorts are new and the buzz is high.

The pricing sheets we got for direct add-ons last weekend only show 50 points or more. There is no 25 point pricing which would lead me to believe that 50 is still the minimum for CCV.

CCV and RIV add on is a minimum of 50. I will be surprised if we don’t see VGF changed to 50 as well.

When did it change back? Didnt the add on tool say 25 not long ago?

From what was reported, that wasn’t there too long and was said to be a mistake…people were told that and not allowed to buy less than 50.

I was one of those that was told to pound sand (OK, they didn't put it exactly like that).

Do you happen to still have a copy of the AKL price sheets you could share? Closing costs?

It was my understanding that 50 is the minimum when financing through Disney. If you're bringing cash I can't see why they wouldn't take your money.
