Dinosaur v. Star Tours

Dinosaur is a pointless attraction. And, it desperately pales in comparison to the other attraction built on the same technology. Speed up, stop, identify dinosaur, speed up, stop, identify dinosaur. Lather, rinse, repeat. Snore, snore, snore.

I love Dinosaur! I think it is one of the best rides in all of WDW. The attention to detail is incredible. Star Tours is fun in sort of a kitchy nostalgic way but far from cutting edge. I'll still ride if there is no wait, though.

Dinosaur is a much more exciting ride! I almost jumped on my then boyfriend's lap the first time I rode it! I love Star Wars but Star Tours is definitely outdated.

I think both are excellent, but if I had to choose one it would be Dinosaur even though my knee's take a beating on it. Being tall is a disadvantage on that ride.

I love Star Tours, but I can't ride it b/c of motion sickness.

I do not like Dino. at all. I threw out my back on it last year and was scared as well. I was surprised that I was such a chicken, b/c I ususally just enjoy the scary fun of such rides. I'm just glad I had my big, strong and brave 9yr. old DS to protect me from the animatronic dino.

My vote is for Dinosaur. The build up is better and the ride is fun.

Enjoy Star Tours, but the props outside are the best part of the ride.

Star Wars was great when it first opened, but is hardly an "E-ticket" attraction anymore. Very low tech ride, which is really just herky jerky motion with an old movie!

Disney needs to keep the great Star Wars theme but do a serious upgrade on the ride! Star Tours isn't better than Dinosaur--it IS a dinosaur!!

Dinosaur and Star Tours are two of my favorite rides at WDW. Both rides are thrilling well themed rides with cool queue areas. Both are an my must do list for each visit. What a tough choice! In a close one I guess I would choose Dinosaur.

This is kind of a weird poll. I mean, you've got two completely different rides. Themes are different, the type of ride is different, the target age seems to be different, among other things.

However, I voted for Dinosaur, because it is at least somewhat up to date. Star Tours is pretty lame at this point. Star Tours needs a new movie, new plot (preferably at least somewhat related to the actual movies), and just a more entertaining overall ride. Dinosaur, even though it's WAY too loud for me and pretty intense as well, definitely is more cutting edge than Star Tours.

I agree this poll I created was a bit off. I just actually love these two rides. They are, however, both motion simulators. This is the fifth one I've done in this last two weeks.

Not true. Star Tours is a motion simulator. Dinosaur is a full motion ride with separate ride vehicles, a track, etc. The only thing that is "simulated" to any degree on Dinosaur is the artificial rolling and yawing of the vehicle as it moves along the track.

I understand that Dinosaur is not a "motion simulator" is a strict sense. Its a motion simulating car on a track. But it does simulate motion, i.e. the bucking and stuff.

Definitely DINOSAUR, Star Tours is showing it's age and in my opinion should be updated, which I hear rumors of it happening.I love the sound in Dino and getting thrown all over the place!!

How odd. I would think Star Tours would have came out the winner in this one... hehe, anyways, I worked on Star Tours so I'm obviously biased.
