Dinosaur Ride

Is it me or does that Dinosaur at the end scare ya? I'm pretty good with stuff. But the end of the ride, I screamed very loud. My 8 year old daughter totally freaked out. She kept her eyes closed and head down the whole ride. She came out crying. I was shaking afterwards.
It's not the physical part of ride.(We rode Primeval Whirl 4 times and Rock and Rolling Coaster 5 times) My daughter and I liked that. I have to admit-the dinos did scare me. That ending was scarey. My hubby and the 2 boys in front of us seemed to really like it. Perhaps its a girl/boy thang...

it didn't scare me like that. i am not afraid to ride it. but i did scream!! LOL and i was the only one that did. the first time we rode my DS was 5yrs old and even he didn't scream. he has not let me forget it either!!!

It scared me the first time I rode it. The dino at the end is pretty scary. I love the ride though...it is one of my favorites at AK.

Is what I did the whole ride! Do not recall if I jumped at any parts but I just and . My family was rather annoyed with me but I thought it was the funniest ride ever! Can not wait to go on it again!

DS 13 was scared. Don't tell him I told you though

I was never scared during that ride. The dinosaurs never startled me or anything. When they took the picture the first time we rode, my boyfriend and I were smiling and so we went on it again and just faked being surprised. Here is our picture:

I thought it was very fun. I felt like I was on a runaway hybrid bucking bronco/Jeep!!!!!

I enjoy this ride... the big dino at the end startled me, but didn't "scare" me. Of couse, the next time I rode, I knew it was coming so I wasn't as startled.

The only consequence of that second ride was a bad hair day caused by the huge blast of air they blow on you when that last dino appears above your head.

I love Dinosaur! It is like my one of my favorite rides in all of Disney. It did scare me a little the first time, but like a "fun time scare"

Anyway I heard they even toned it down a little, it used to be a lot more intense then it already is .....

I liked the ending...really unexpected. I thought I was going to fly out of the seat during the ride though..REALLY rough.

Miranda Danda, glad to hear we were not the only one that were when our picture was taken! We looked so "dumb" in the picture because ALL 4 of us were just sitting there! That includes DS's 10 and 13 at the time.

Just LOVE Dinosaur! To me it was one big tickle session!

Don't get me wrong, I love the ride and will ride it again in the future. I rode it with my 8 year old little sister (I was 24 at the time) and I was truly scared of the dinos. I kept telling myself "It's not real, It's not real". My little sis didn't have much time to be scared because I had my hands over her eyes telling her not to look the whole time. I figured if it scared me then it would terrify her. I'm love scary movies and I love thrill rides so I don't know what happened to me

AFTER RIDING THE DINO RIDE, I WAS AMAZED AT MYSELF.

I HATED IT, I WAS SO FRIGHTENED AND SHOCKED BY THE WHOLE ATMOSPHERE OF THE RIDE.

HOWEVER I WILL RIDE ANY OTHER RIDE IN ANY PARK BUT DINOSAUR NEVER AGAIN

It is a scary ride, I think b/c its very dark and you don't know when a dinosaur is going to pop out. We were at AK this past week and Dinosaur was a walk-on the whole day. We rode it about 5 or 6 times. Its not scary at all when you know when/where all the dinosaurs are.

I heard someone on another message board who saw the ride w/the lights on and they said its nothing but rubber dinosaur heads and chicken wire

There's something about this ride that just triggers my primal "fight or flight" instincts. Which is why I love it- it really does a good job of pushing my buttons. In the pictures, I'm usually laughing, but my heart is beating a mile-a-minute and usually my feet are pounding on the floor of the car. As many times as I do it, I can't seem to be calm through the whole thing.

I went with my DH the first time and let me tell you I was scared too. . Throughout the whole ride I practically had my eyes closed and I was screaming too. I don't know what happened to me! I am usually pretty good with these types of rides. But at the end of the ride forget it. I thought I wasn't going to make it out of the ride alive!

The first time you see the carnotarous if you are sitting on the left it is scarey as hell. This ones intense, but that is also why i like it so much

The one at the end is intense. We had a lot of young kids on the ride with us who where scared to death. However, I rode it twice because I just loved it. My DD9 ducked the first time because the dinosaur just popped out of blue at the end. The second time she was okay because she knew what to expect.

I would definitely have the younger and some older people....use the potty prior to this ride. It is definitely not for people with heart problems.

One of my favorites and can't wait to go again!

That Dino at the end scares me! Actually all of the Dino's do...even the plant eaters! I just love the ride though...it always gives me a good scare. I have a funny photo from 4 years ago when I went on with a friend and I'm hanging on to her I'm so scared. Remember when it was Countdown to Extinction? I remember riding back in 1999 and it was very intense, then riding in 2001 and it was not intense, now I think they are close to as intense as it was in 1999.
