Dinosaur @ Downtown Disney

Has anyone tried the Dinosaur themed resteraunt at downtown Disney? It looks pretty cool, and my 3 yr. old loves Dinosaurs. It looks something like the jungle themed one.

is the name of the restaurant. We ate there ast trip. It's very similar to Rain Forest Cafe and bothe are operated by the same company.

One difference is the theming is a little broader at T-Rex. At RFC the jungle theme runs throughout the restaurant. At T-Rex there is a jungle themed area, underwater area and an ice cave area. We sat in the corner of the jungle area and the other two areas could easily be seen.

Your child will probably love it. They also have a build a dinosaur area in the gift shop and smaller (and cheaper) prestuffed dinosaurs.

If you decide to go call the restaurant directly. Disney Dining does take ADRs for the restaurant but the supply of tables allotted to them is small.

We went in Sept. '09. Kids loved it. I wasn't very hungry when we went so I can't give my opinion on the food. It is very loud, but is very well themed! If your 3 yr old can handle the noise, it'll be a great experience....at least once.

We had lunch there in September and everyone enjoyed it very much . We are returning in May, we are not doing a park the first day, were heading to DTD and eating at T-Rex. Then doing "Build a Dinosaur" at the t-Rex Store.

It's a fun place and the food good with good service.

We ate there in October. My DS6 loved it. The rest of us did too. We're going in 9 days and would go again if I hadnt made other ADRs. Good food and atmosphere!
