Hi Everyone,
My DH and I are taking our DS7 to WDW for Thanksgiving. We are leaving Monday, Nov. 21 and staying the week. We were originally booked on a Disney Cruise but had to change to Land Only at the 75 day mark. Therefore, I did not get all the ADRs that I would have liked.
Now I know that not everyone who goes to Disney makes ADRs and still gets to eat. So I have a few questions I'm hoping you can help me with.
Please note that this is not our first trip nor will it be our last so we are not in a RUSH to do and see everything. This trip is for our DS7. It's our first family vacation without others attending. It's also the last family vacation before his new baby brother or sister arrives. I'm 4 months pregnant (surprised we were) and we want this to be really special for him. So keeping this in mind. Here goes the questions:
1. Animal Kingdom - On the day we plan to go to Animal Kingdom the park opens at 8 am. We have an ADR booked at the Rainforest Cafe at 9 am, but my DS loves Tusker House. So if we are at the park for rope drop and go straight to Tusker House will they place us on a waiting list and how long do you think the wait might be? If the wait was within the hour will they call Rainforest and cancel for us or do we have to do that?
2. Downtown Disney - pretty much the same situation as listed above. We have a ADR for 5:15 at Cap'n Jacks but my DS wants to eat at T-Rex. What are the chances that we could just add our name to the waiting list and still get a table.
Thanks for your help. This is the only day that really didn't go my way. The other days I would rather eat breakfast in the park but it wasn't an option so we were able to get a few character breakfast at other resorts. Again we aren't in a rush so I don't mind that we will not be at each park by rope drop.
Thanks for your help.
Allison
