does anyone know how i could find out what resterants are included in my meal package. i recieve to meals a day per family member. i don't know how to plan in advance because i dont know what i have to choose from

Go to www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/packages/2008restaurants.html

Click on the restraunts that you are interested in. They are listed as Counter, Table and 2 Table credits.

Then you need to figure out what park you are going to be in each day. You can also get to some of the resorts outside of the parks fairly easily using the monorail or boats (Contemporary, Poly or GF). Have a few back ups as the ADR's get filled quickly.

It sounds like you are on the basic Disney Dining Plan. In which case, each person (three years old or older) is entitled to :
1 Counter Service Meal/day
1 Table Service Meal/day
1 Snack/day

If you go to the sticky thread at the top of this particular board there is a list of approved snacks. It is most single serve items under $4.00. Family size pkgs of chips, donuts, 1/2 gallons milk, etc are not included.

For a CS you get an entree (or combo meal), a nonalcoholic drink, and a dessert at just about any CS restaurant in WDW

For a TS you get an entree, a nonalcoholic drink, and a dessert any just about any TS restaurant in WDW. The only restrictions I can think of right now, are you can not get Sushi at Wolfgang Pucks as an entree and at Marakesh in Morrocco you are limited to baklava for dessert.

Restaurants you can not use the DDP at, are few and far between. (Victoria and Alberts, Bistro de Paris, the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin, Fulton's, House of Blues, Portobello Yacht Club, upstairs at Wolfgang Pucks, and Bongos). As you can see most of them are at DTD.

There are some meals that will require two TS credits: any of the dinner shows, Brown Derby, Yatchsman Steakhouse, Flying Fish, California Grill, Artist Point, Narcoosee, Citrico, CRT, and Jiko.

Some people seem to get confused as to what is CS and what is TS. CS is like a Mickey D's where you walk up to the counter, place your order, and then find yourself a table. A TS is where you are seated and the waiter comes to you. Basically, if you have a waiter it is TS. The two exceptions are the Pepper Market at CSR and Wolfgang Pucks Express in the Market Place. At the Pepper Market you are seated and a waiter gets your drinks, but you go get your food. At WGP Express, you place your order, find a table, but a waiter brings your food to you. Both are still CS restaurant though.

Go to Allearsnet.com, click on dining, then click on menus to get an idea what's available and where they are at.

Oh, and no, CS can not be exchanged for TS, but in the past they have sometimes allowed a TS to be traded for something like a CS and a lanyard or a snack. That is usually just during the free dining time and thus far has not been announced for this year. It is very important that you make ADRs for TS, as every trip it seems we are seeing more and more walkups being turned away. ADRs can not be made for CS, of course.

Hope this helps some!
