I saw that with the dinsey magic your way with dinning you could trade up. Like 1 sit down for a character meal or 2 sit downs for a fancy meal.

My question is can you trade down? I was quoted through AAA for $37 per person per day to add the dinning plan. We will have a 2 year old with us and I can see us not being able to do a sit down every night. That being said I would like to be able to do 2 counter services one day instead of 1 counter service and 1 sit down. Can you do that or must you do a sit down every day? Thanks

You can use the Table Service Meal(TA) (Sitdown)for any meal. Breakfast, lunch or Dinner. You can do some Signature Dinng meals for 2 TS meals, therefore eliminating 1 day of Table Service Meals. Example you have 4 nights that you are staying. You have 4 Counter Service meals(CS) each and 4 TS meals each as well as the snack credit.

1 day you go to Whispering Canyon Cafe Use 1 TS each, use a CS at park during the day
2nd Day go to Cinderella's Breakfast or lunch use 2 TS Each, use a CS for Dinner at the park
3rd Day do 2 CS's for Lunch and Dinner
4th Day go to 50's Prime Time, Out of Pocket for lunch (OOP)
You have now used 4 TS and 4 CS and paying for 1 CS out of pocket

If you need help putting together a plan, I will try to help you. Allearsnet.com have the menus on it and you can see where your family may like to eat. :flower:

Are all the character meals a 2for1 trade? When I looked at the list of restuarants it only said that Cinderella was 2 TS trades. The others did not say anything?

Any one know anything about using a CS instead of a TS?

Hi can you help me with the dining plan? We are 2 adults one child (DD5 yr) she doesnt eat much. We are planning to stay at POR and want to try for Cinderella castle meal and the princess storybook. I was thinking of taking snacks in (if they let us) for her for during the day and was wondering if this plan would be worth it for us? What has been your experience? Thanks

From what I saw on the WDW website, CRT is the only 2 for 1 character meal. I think you are allowed to trade a TS for a CS. I would sit down and do some figuring though. You might not be getting your money's worth that way. :confused3

Yes you can trade a ts for a cs, but as stated you may not get your money worth. Only Cindy is 2 TS I was trying to show an example of using the credits. The attached from Disney shows the 2006 plan and shows how many credits etc. Normal TS's are 1 credit and Signature dining are 2. We had a 4 year old and 5 adults when we went. She had the childs dining plan, she likes most anything even brocolli. She always had plenty to eat from childs menu. You also get 1 snack per person per night on the plan. We took a small soft side cooler and put 6 large bottles of water in it each day. Took a gallon Ziplock bag and filled it full of ice. This we poured into the bag ad even in Sept it stayed cold all day. Took a sharpie and marked everyones initials on the bottles. The for our snack we got fruit or an ice cream. We ended up with extra snacks and took items home with us. I am a bi fan of the dining plan. It lets us eat at some very nice restaurants that we would not have been able to afford. Basically what I do is make a chart of where we want to go (park) etc each day and then look over the menus and recommendations on this siteto see where my family would like to eat. With a son there is a new character dinner coming April 1st from postings on this board. That would be great for them and some of the girls too, i understand it is to be Toy Story. There were a few meals, for the adults, that we shared CS's so we had a few breakfast at the hotel POFQ and used a couple of snack credits to get extra fruit. Since these rooms have a frig we had cereal and milk, sweet rolls etc. Let me know if I can be of further help :flower:
