hey

My travel agency won't let me add dinsey dinning on unless I buy theme park tickets

I already have them and explained that. So they won't do it

Is there any other way of getting dinning package

There is now a "ticketless" DDP package. It is not advertised. It can not be booked online. You must call Disney to do it. I don't know if a TA can book it or not.

Yes, a TA can book a ticketless package. I would call your TA back and ask them to please call Disney directly and add the dining package to your room. It's more commission for them, so I'm not sure why they aren't jumping on this!

If your TA still refuses to do it, I would go online and book the exact same resort you have now. Call your TA back and cancel your reservation with them. Then call Disney and add the dining yourself. Just make sure you have what you want with Disney on your own before you cancel with your TA.

Take this opportunity to educate your TA and if they still don't want to, bail on them.

If you have a room only reservation (12 digit confirmation number) you cannot. It has to be changed to a package (8 digit confirmation number) (different deposit / final payment / cancellation policy). As the poster above mentioned it is called a "ticketless" package. My TA has booked this for us a few times

Are you in the United States? If you are not, there may be a different booking method you are using.

If you are in the US, you must purchase a package to get a dining plan. If you've purchased a room-only reservation you must change it to a package. They do have a ticketless package available. You can book it only by calling Disney (not online). Tell your travel agent to call Disney and re-book your reservation as a ticketless package with dining. If the travel agent refuses, cancel and do your own booking, or find a travel agent who knows how to deal with Disney.

There still refusing and if I cancel I lose my 500 pounds deposit

Any other ideas guys :(

I would ask your TA to do a 3 way call with you and Disney. Then maybe Disney can educate them over the phone on how to help you.

I wonder if your TA has you under some kind of discount?

Or since you're UK you may have different rules. I wonder if ticketless packages aren't available for UK?

I would call Disney yourself and ask if ticketless packages are available for UK residents. If they say yes, I would keep asking your TA to do it.

UK rules are different. You might not be able to do this.

I agree. I have been watching multiple things you (OP) have posted recently as you are planning your trip. I think you have not been within the "rules" of UK bookings. It seems you want to do somethings by US protocols but using a UK Agent and deals when it is to your benefit. I think now, & have earlier, you can't have it both ways.

1) Yes.
2) This would be "doubling up" on discounts or other offers.
3) As I understand it, your TA s correct.

UK packages are very different from US packages so it is quite possible that ticketless packages do not exist in the UK or cannot be booked by UK travel agencies. You might want to ask on the UK planning board whether ticketless packages can be booked by a UK TA or what your options are since you've already bought tickets, but want to add the dining plan:

I know you've posted about this on several forums, but it would help if you made it clear that you are in the UK and using a UK travel agent because otherwise most posters will assume you are using a US travel agent and will post regarding packages available in the US.

Being from the UK myself, I don't believe you can add the DP without a ticket if booking via the UK system. I believe it is a condition of the offer.

Oh well I'll just need to pay out there for my dinner but would of helped budgeting and piece of mind having all the meals paid

If you are in Great Britain and booking via a travel agent, the rules are different as to what kind of reservation you are booking. In your case, the travel agent may be correct. If you have already made a deposit and there is a cancellation penalty, then you may have to either take the penalty or go without the dining plan. Especially if you have already purchased the room and tickets separately from each other. If you want free dining, you have to book a full package including room and tickets.

Ticketless packages may not be an option with reservations made in the UK, and if you have already purchased tickets you will likely not be able to return them.

Free dining is NOT available on a ticketless package, even in the US.

You could possibly save the tickets you have already purchased for a future trip, and rebook a package with tickets to get free dining, but you'd have to take that up with the travel agent.
