Dinner wear for Pirate night now?

OK, I am almost packed & it just occured to me that things may be different now for the former tropical night that is pirate night. Before, that was the one night that it was acceptable to wear shorts in the dining rooms. We will be wearing our matching tropical Mickey outfits but I would like to know if I need to pack an extra pair of khaki pants for DH & DS or if the shorts that I planned to go with their shirts will be ok. TIA!

We just got back on Saturday from our cruise on the Magic. The pirate night was great! In the dining room, everyone will have a pirate's bandana type wrap on their place at the table. A few people were dressed up, but I remember seeing a lot of people still wearing tropical wear.

Thanks! I had heard that alot of people still wear the tropical patterns but weren't sure about the pants issue. We do make a point of dressing up for dinner so this was DH's one chance to be casual.

Lots of people wear the tropical wear. We got some pirate accessories to wear and the entire evening is a blast. Be sure to go to the deck party. You'll have a great time.

Oh yes! We loved the deck party last time!!! The kids were out there doing all the line dances. I crack up watching DD do the motions to HEY BABY! LOL! They had glow sticks last time but I just picked up some of the glow braclets so that they can put them on their arms.

Lisa: The men and boys in our group will be wearing shorts. I purchased two pirate masks for my husband and son so they might be wearing them also at dinner.

The women and girls in our group wore tropical Mickey outfit and the guys wore Tropical colored polo shirs and kacki pant.

I don't remember seeing anyone wearing shorts at the Pirate night dinner.

We always see people wearing shorts on what was Tropical night and this past September on late seating I saw men wearing shorts on Pirate night at dinner.

ACK!!! This just made me remember to pack the kid's dress up pirate hats! Off to do that now!
