I am planning a day at Seaworld with my daughter this summer. Is Seaworld a full day park? Do they have any nighttime shows to stay for? I am wondering if we should get there as soon as they open and leave early or sleep in a little and then plan to stay till closing.

Also, I am thinking of the dinner with Shamu thing. Any thoughts, comments, etc on this would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, Sea World is a full day park. There are a lot of shows to see, so you're really at the mercy of the schedule to get everything done. There is a night time Shamu show as well as fireworks. We were there opening to closing one day, plus a few additional hours each of two other days. However, we were doing things really liesurely, repeating some things, and the hours are much shorter in February then in the summer. But it is still absolutely a full day park.
We did Dine with Shamu and loved it. It's so neat to be so close to the whales, and the food is excellent as well. Plenty of food to choose from. You learn a lot and get incredible photo opportunities.

If you want to do everything it is at least a full day. Last year we did a full day and two half days (although we did repeat some things obviously!) The Shamu night show is my favourite thing of all. The atmosphere is also amazing. We have also done Dine with Shamu and it was the highlight of our holiday.
Hope this helps!
Love Verity,
PS Don't miss the Clyde and Seymour show. It's great! Get there early!
