I need a dinner recommendation for my family of 4 (me, dh, dd5, ds 4.5 months). We already have reservations for 1900 park fare and ohana for dinner, and an 8:10am breakfast at CP. We do not really need another character meal, and would prefer a restaurant that is not in one of the parks but in a resort, downtown disney, etc. If you know of any good dinner shows that would be good too, but hubby doesnt want hoop dee do revue. TIA!

Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge might be fun for you.

Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club has a great buffet. It's a clam bake. It has all you can eat steamed clams, mussels and a lot of other choices. They have a carving station too. DW and I think the Kids Mac n' Cheese is the best there too :)

You might check out Trail's End buffet (next to Hoop Dee Do) at Fort Wilderness. They have very tasty ribs and fried chicken, and it is a little less pricey than most other buffets on property. When we went, they also had a small salad bar, veggies, mashed potatoes, salmon, mac and cheese, pizza, soft serve and toppings bar, and other desserts. A fun way to get there is to take the boat from MK to FW, and then you are just a short walk away from the restaurant.
