Dinner Shows

Hi, my son (6 years old) and I are heading to Disney mid April and I am wondering about dinner shows. I am reading my old disney book from 2003 and I wonder if these are still open

Hoop - Dee-Doo Rev.
Mikey's Backyard BBQ
Polynesian Luau

I am looking to go to mabye on or 2 of these, would do all, but staying for only 1 week and dont want dinner show over load plus we are already doing other chara. breakfasts/lunches.

If anyone has even been to these shows let me know what you liked etc. and if anyone as date and times/pricees etc. that would be great too!

All are still available. Be aware when you call to make your reservation, you'll have to pay for it with via a credit card at that time. This is new as of last year.

I have a nice review on my site for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Dinner Show (click on the link) It's a favorite of mine. Have seen it multiple times and loved it every time. The food is good and plentiful and the show continues to entertain.

Is there a way to just call wehn you get there in hopes it is available? I will prebook one perhaphs, but dont know if I should do with 2 or 3

I have been to HDR and loved it. DD 2 and DD6 loved it too. I am dying to do the BBQ. We were there in Sept and couldn't fit it in. The shows book up far in advance so I wouldn't go expecting to get in without PS.

I was thinking of more going to the luau or the BBQ - any one has exper's with either of them?

I wouldn't waste my time or money on the Luau. The food is ok, but the show leaves a lot to be desired. I'd skip it and have dinner at 'Ohana instead. I've found the off-site dinner shows to be better than the ones at WDW in terms of cost and entertainment value. Dixie Stampede and Arabian Nights are both a lot of fun. My DD4 preferred both of them over the Luau. You can get discount tickets for both of them at ticketmania.com or from AAA.

HDDR is GREAT!!! We loved it and the food is yummy!! Plus unlimited beer and wine!!!
