We will be in Florida in 3 weeks. I can't wait. After all the planning, the time is almost here. :thumbsup2
We want to attend one of the dinner shows and I think have narrowed it down to the Pirate, Midevil or the Luau show.
Anybody have any suggestions?

We went to the Luau on Dec. 22.
It was our first time there & we enjoyed it. I do wish that I had known that they take a group picture (like at "Ohana, Chef Mickey's, Akersus). I had no idea until they just whisked us over to get photographed.

The food was good, as was the entertainment....it does take 2 hours though, so we were there until about 10pm (we did the 2nd show).

I can't recommend any of the show you have mentioned as we haven't tried them, but we are going to the Outta Control Magic Dinner Show at Wonderworks next week. I originally read about it in two books on things to do in Orlando, and it was rated very highly in both books. It is affordable, all you can eat pizza and all you can drink wine, beer and soda. It is only around $25.00 without the Wonderworks attraction, just the show and food.
I will post a review about it on my TR when I return on the 21st if you want to check it out. I can also come back to this thread and let everyone know how it was.
If I had to choose one of the three you mentioned, it would definately be the Luau, pirates coming in second. I just looked them up in my books for you and the Luau and Pirates were rated really well, the midievel not so well. Hopes this helps;) :thumbsup2

Please post about the Outa control magic show here :goodvibes That is on the top of my to do list. thanks

We're back! We went to the Outta Control Magic show last week and it was great:thumbsup2

I highly recommend it to all!!! It was very entertaining and funny, the kids, 5 and 11, loved it, along with their grammie who doesn't usually have much of a sense of humor:laughing: The magic was okay, but the way they interacted with the audience and all was great! My son got picked to come up and help on stage, it was so funny!!!

The food was great. Hand tossed pizza, cheese and pepp. brought out to you constantly. A huge bowl of salad, popcorn and all you can drink soda, beer and wine. It's in a small dining room with a stage and not too many people. I suggest being there early to get a good seat. We were first in line and arrived 45 minutes early and lined up. We got the table right in front of the stage. Be prepared to be involved in the show at that table! Here is a layout of the set up :

As my son says, it was wedding type seating. Long tables and chairs with people on each side just like above all the way to the back of the room. Not individual tables, so getting a good seat is importatant!

I will definately go back again and we had a great time!

The value compared to other dinner shows is amazing, as was the food. We did Arabian Nights last year and didn't care for it or the food too much.

Thanks for the info. :thumbsup2
Did you have a reservation or just went early?
Did you notice if people with reservations get to cut in line or they have to show up early anyway?
Thanks again.

We pre-purchased our tickets through the Orlando Visitors center website,

http://www.orlandoticketsales.com/o...UserID=344279&jsessionid=62306a27edae60602c10

We saved almost $40.00 doing this:cool1: We just picked up our tickets at the visitors center before going to the show. You can pay to have them sent to you, but since it is on International, we just stopped in and picked up our tickets. When ordering they ask your vacation dates. They held ours for a month. After purchasing the tickets, we called Wonderworks and reserved a day and time.

We did the 6pm show, and arrived at 5 because I was told when I called to be there at 5:15. First of all, the show time was advertised there at 6:30, on the tickets and board out front it said 6. Anyway, they start lining up 1 hour 10 minutes before the show, so we lined up at 5:15 and there were three other families there shortly after us. They let us in at 6, so they let you in 30 minutes before the show starts to start eating salad, getting drinks ordered. The show was about 1 hour long. We didn't have too much time to eat during the show, we were too busy laughing and watching the show.

It does not matter if you pre purchase tickets, have ressies, etc. You only get a good seat if you get there early to wait in line. There is no cutting, everyone has to wait in the same line regardless. If you go to the 6:30 show, I really suggest getting or starting the line at 5:15 and standing there until 6 and they let you in.

Let me know if you have any more questions. I have a few pictures I will post here tomorrow so you can get an idea of the place:)

Thank you so much for posting about this show. It is on my list for our trip in February. We haven't bought tickets yet, but I will talk to my DH tonight to see what he thinks.
