Dinner show adr

I understand that when you book he dinner shows you have to pa at that time. We are purchasing the dining plan though so do I have to pay for it and then call back when I've purchased the dining plan to get refunded or do I have to just wait until we've purchased the dining plan to book? TIA

For others who may be wondering...
I'm on the dining plan and just booked Hoop Dee Doo. They ask if you are on the plan and take a credit card as a guarantee if you don't cancel by 24hrs prior you get charged, I think it was $10 per person. You aren't charged anything to book the reservation.

We are also on the dining plan and booked the Hoop-Dee Doo and they only took a credit card to hold the reservation but did not charge it.
