I do not remember if you can request a table for 2 during your dinner rotation. My DW and I are on cruising on the 3 day Wonder and leaving the kids at home. Thought it might be nice to be alone for dinner. Anyone know?

Thanks

Tables for 2 are only available at Palo - not on the regular rotation.

Have you checked out the cruise meets thread to see if any other couples are sailing at the same time? I "met" a fellow DIS cruiser on line who were also going without their kids and through a few e-mails, found we had a lot in common. We decided to link our reservations together and at least we'd know who we were dining with.

Your other option is to try and eat in Palo's everynight. That's what DH and I, and this other couple ended up doing. I'd recommend that you put in for a reservation on the final night (this tends to be the busiest) and go on the waitlist for the other two nights. We noticed that the restaurant was nearly empty on the 1st night and only slightly crowded on the 2nd.

Hi, I will be on the Feb 26 7nt Magic for our Honeymoon. I requested a table for 2 and it even states that I have a "Table for Two" on reqeust on my docs. I understand this is not guaranteed but at least DCL has a heads up that it is what we want. Also, the last time I cruised (Jan 04) my party of 4 was seated at a table for 8 so we went to the desk where they do dinner changes and they found us a table for 4. And we saw many tables for 4 that only had 2 people sitting there. So I am hoping we luck out and get to have out table for 2.

It is possible to get a table for 2, especially if the ship isn't full.

We sailed on the 1/23 4-night Wonder for our honeymoon. The head server asked us one morning if we wanted a table for 2 without our provocation. We turned it down do to wanting to get to know our table mates, but the option is possible :3dglasses

We just sailed on the 1/15 Magic, kind of a second honeymoon cruise, no children. Our rotation and table assignement was changed when we got on board as a result of us asking to be seated in a particular head server's station. We ended up at a table for two. We were totally okay with meeting new people, but found this very nice as this was our first long trip alone in 17 1/2 years. So we know tables for two can in fact be had or made. For sure go to the assigned place for making change requests for your dining assingment and if that doesn't do it, see the dining room manager on your first night. I bet they'll work it out for you.
