Hi everyone.

I was able to make a reservation through Open Table for Finnegan's on Saturday, September 29 at 5 pm. This is a night when HHN is going on and the park closes at 5 pm. We have AP's but not tickets to HHN (and no plans on going). Our plan was to spend the afternoon in the park and then eat and then leave.

Will we run into issues at Finnegan's since we don't have tickets to HHN and the park closes to day guests at the exact time our reservation is?

Thanks for any help.

Good question - now I'm also wondering if we should MAKE a reservation for while we're there at the S&S for Finnegan's?

Having been to Finnegan's before HHN started in the past, if you're just there to experience Finnegan's you might want to reschedule anyway. The place will be packed and service will be very slow and it might not be a very pleasant dining experience for you.

But you could always call them direct and ask whether there is an issue opentable isn't aware of, or if you'll feel the eagle eye of the ticket takers all evening. Unfortunately you might find no one knows the answer. We were there two years ago asking at the front gate in the morning about the holding areas and they assured us there was no such place and everyone had to leave the park at 5pm. It took the managing CM going over to guest services to clarify with the powers that be. In his defense, it was opening night :)

TMs come into Finnegans and scan tix on HHN nights. Since you won't have an event tix, it stands to reason you should leave at the stated closing time for day guests. The same policy is in effect during the disney parties.

Okay that's fine. We'll just cancel the reservation. We don't do the parties at Disney either so I had no clue what the policy was. It didn't "stand to reason" for me at all. That's why I asked. But thanks ...
