Dinner Packages

Has anyone gone to the dinner/show packages that are available for Fantasmic, Illuminations or the Candlelight Processional? Is it worth it?

Don't know of any dinner packages for Illuminations.

We did the CP package a few years ago and are doing it again this year. This is a pretty good deal, at least at the a la carte restaurants (rather than the buffets). You get an appetizer or salad or soup; entree; and desert, and the tip is included. I've priced it out on several of the menus, and generally if you order an appetizer instead of salad or soup (because appetizers are generally more expensive), and stick with the more expensive entree items (not necessarily the MOST expensive), you will save a few bucks, AND get the CP seating.

We've got reservations for the new Fantasmic! dinner package for our trip in a few weeks. Seemed a bit pricey to me, and it says you order from a special menu (not from the regular menu as in the CP packages), but I'm paying the extra so as to not have to wait in line with a 2yo.

We have done dinner packages at the Candlelight Processional,Fantasmic, and (I think) Lord of the Dance or whatever. We ate at Brown Derby, Mama Melrose, Le Cellier(sp?) and Biergarten. We will do it again this year for the CP again. We normally eat at on property restaurants anyway so what you pay for is the reserved seating. sometimes you need it and other times you don't. We have stood in long lines for shows when I wished we had reserved seating( once over an hour for CP and it was cold);other times I have seen people walk in and get great seats at the last minute. I am more comfortable in my golden years having assurances we will continue with dinner packages.
