Going to the MNSSHP on Sept 25- should we get an ADR for lunch or dinner? DS1 will need a nap in the afternoon and we don't want to miss anything! The afternoon parade is at 3, but I guess we could catch that the next day. Any suggestions out there?

Who knows with him! He is very unpredictable right now, but I am guessing around 11 am for his official nap- but he might nap again around 4. Go figure huh? But that is when he naps now and at home. He is almost 9 months now, so his sleeping patterns may change between now and then. sigh!

I don't like to eat dinner before hand, if your ADR is 5 then it will be 6:30 before you get out of there. I would wear him out early, nap real good and head to the park. Watch afternoon parade from Frontierland. After the parade passes I would walk to Crystal Palace for Adr at 4 or 4:30. The characters use to dress up here so you will get a look at them as they transition into dinner. Eat and then you might have time to let him sleep in the stroller before things get started. You could find a nice quiet spot in adventurland. This way you will already be in the park, will have food in your belly and letting him rest before the 1st parade.

What do ya think? My babies are 17 and 12 so it has been some time that I had to think about naps, unless it is for DH and I.

I'd make it for lunch. We did our first MNSSHP last year, and it was great, but I feel like we didn't have nearly enough time, and we arrived at 4 (but ate at CS at 6.) There's a lot to do and see at the party, and I wouldn't waste my time eating.

That idea might work, but I would change to Tony's. They are open too that night by what I have heard. I hope so. We are celebrating his 1st birthday at Crystal Palace on sat- the very next day! But I love the idea of wearing him out early and then eating. Maybe we can get a snack or something later- beyond all the candy I mean! My 8 year old will be in heaven- all the candy she candy she can eat and Disney! How much better can it get? The party is a surprise for her- she has no idea why I convinced her to be a pirate for Halloween this year!

Thanks again!

We are doing an early lunch around 11:20 and heading back to the hotel for naps. My youngest is 4, but I even have my older kids take naps on MNSSHP day. I want everyone to be awake and happy at midnight. lol.
