Dinner & MNSSHP

We are not doing the Halloween party this year & we just realized the night we were able to snag a Be Our Guest reservation is a party night. The reservation is for 7:15.

My husband & I are at odds about how/if this will work. My feeling is that if we check in & are waiting to be seated by 7pm will we be able to stay & eat regardless of not paying for the party?!

The one time we went to it we saw a lot of people walking around without bracelets & realized that the cast members seemed to be very careful about actually kicking people out of the park-they were just denied access to rides & attractions & gently told the park had closed to non-party goers at 7.

So anyone had experience with this!? A dining reservation right at closing for special events?!

No party tickets, no dining reservations past 6:55 pm.

At some point in the reservation process this should show. It is among other things and sometimes not obvious.

"Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for park entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event."

They have started adding items like this on the front of restaurant pages. This is BOG on a party night.

Breakfast
8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Lunch
10:30 AM - 2:30 PM

Dinner
4:00 PM - 6:55 PM

Dinner
Special Ticketed Event
7:00 PM- 8:00 PM

Your husband is correct. You will not be allowed to dine past 6:55 reservation time without a party ticket...no matter what time you check in. It's a hard ticket event...no benefits of being in the park are realized after the start of the party at 7.

I'm in the same boat as the poster. We got BOG at 7:10 pm not knowing it was a party night too.

And the icing on the cake....you will be charged the $10/person no show fee (even if you show up). They will not seat you.

Is this a new thing? I don't recall being able to make ADRs past 7pm on party nights last year.

Thanks for the info! I see now where it shows special event on there-I booked it through the MDE app & there's nothing on there to indicate that! A

- If you want TS I suggest you eat an early dinner or late lunch at a resort before entering the park.
- We have eaten an early dinner at Kona then gone to the party.
- We have enjoyed eating at Grand Floridian Cafe for a late lunch then went to the party.
- We have also chosen to do a nice lunch at a resort, like Sanaa, then gone back to change before heading to party.
- Eating early leaves tummy room for the special snacks. Waffle Sundaes are awesome!
- And after eating every way you can think of for parties, I've decided I hate wasting party time on dining.
- But if hungry for something substantial some counter service are open: usually Pecos Bill and Cosmic Rays.

Honestly I would get there between 4-5 and grab CS prior to the party. IMHO I do not want to waste valuable party time at a restaurant

We usually grab Casey's or Columbia Harbour House

I believe last year at the MVMCP Casey's was open during the party because we watched Holiday Wishes from there

My hubby wont eat dinner at 3pm the 15th is our 43rd Anniversary so I was hoping for something special. But a burger will be fine.I dont want to waste time either its my only day at the parks we are taking our 2 granddaughters.would have loved to go to BOG oh well maybe someday LOL thanks for you help

It sounds from this thread that a lot of people without party tickets will be canceling shortly. Keep a lookout.
