Dinner/Lunch with Imagineer?

I was reading this on a previous post, I had never heard of the Dinner with an Animator but Im sad I missed that, it was always my dream to become an animator... On to more positive things, my husband and I are going down to Disney the week of January 24th and was wondering if anyone knew if the lunch/dinner with an Imagineer actually existed, how much it is, etc. I thought since my husband is absolutly enthralled with Imagineering (he has the books, watches the shows over and over, of course so do I) this might be a nice suprise if I could afford it...

Also we will be celebrating our anniversary at Artists Point, this is our first time eating there, and it seems there are a lot of good reviews, just wondered if anybody had any input on it for couples?

lunch w/the imagineer is fabulous! we did it in may; so, not sure if it is still held. try calling dining~that would be the first step. if it is available, then book it by all means!!!! the cost is around 60$/pp+tax+tip. dinner is more and includes wine pairings. the lunch/dinner is held in a private dining room at the hollywood brown derby. there might be others included in the party. you will have an entree choice, but all will receive the soup, a mini verison of the cobb salad, and the same dessert. there will be beef, chicken or fish choice. each party will receive a great reminder of the experience. usually the lunch is 1.5 hours but sometimes it can go a little longer. the imagineer will give background on projects (s)he as worked on and of course you will be able to ask questions. it is a great experience and we would do it again in a heartbeat!

Thank you so much for the info! Atleast now I know it exists. we will be on a budget this year so I dont know if we can afford that but its something for me to think about.

I did the dinner back in August right after Hurricane Charley and due to water damage the private dining room was closed. Haven't heard if it is repaired yet.
