Dinner in Wedding Attire?

I've been planning my DFTW since my first trip when I was 4 years old.

It's never too early:wizard:

LOL....i was 13 when i said i was having my reception in the American Adventure....so collect all the ideas you can...only took me 14 more year to make my dream a reality…so totally agree there is never to early

As for dresses/wedding attire...the restaurants don’t mind....as long as they arent in the parks....most places will let you select a limited menu or a set menu for your guests....you have to deal with the restaurant directly if you ring WDW-Dine they will connect you with who ever is handling it at the time....

Also you are allowed to decorate your tables

There are lots of ways to celebrate without actually having the DFTW...

Two years out from the suspected date isn't early at all to be thinking and collecting ideas. I don't actually thing 5 years out is bad either, it's just that everything will have changed by the time the wedding gets around to happening that it really can't go beyond dreaming...

I think, and this is just speculation, that maybe some people thought you were very young (think 17) when they commented about getting ahead of yourself. I admit, I've had to hold my tongue now and then when someone very young starts on about getting engaged and married before they're old enough to drink! I never actually say anything but inside I admit to rolling my eyes. However, that's neither here not there, just a thought. I wouldn't take it personally. :)

As for eating at a restaurant in wedding attire, I agree with PP's that you'll have to call and ask. My inclination is to say, "no" but that's only based on how protective Disney is about weddings in general on their property.

Welcome to the boards and good luck planning! And be sure to give us all the details when he pops the question!

It's never too early to start planning! I really do think it's natural for a couple to start talking about marriage before the engagement. I know it's that way with me and my BF, he is excited about a DFTW! :)

I can't really help with your question though. Call the restaurants and find out directly, as long as it is not within the parks I don't see why there would be a problem.
