Has anyone eaten dinner at Marrakesh in Morocco? We have ADRs there next week and are hoping for a few menu suggestions from guests who have eaten there. Thanks.

We ate there a few years back and really enjoyed it. I loved  the seafood bastilla. I had never had lamb, and my meal included a lamb shank - not a fan! Other than that, everything was really good. I'll see if I can find my old review. :goodvibes

We have eaten there several times. The food is really quite delicious and they have a bellydancer that comes to the tables. :cool1: Great service and you get a different cuisine than we are used too.

I had a good meal there when I tried it. Like most WDW restaurants the flavors are toned down a bit so if you eat at northern African restaurants often you will notice it.

If you are a coffee drinker and they still offer the Moroccan coffee try it. It is a coffee and espresso mix with a little orange blossom water. I bought some of the water at a local shop because I liked it so much.

Had a great lunch at Marrakesh in 2009. It was a hot day last week of October... I think I drank a gallon of the mint iced tea (so good!). Everything was delicious -- seafood bastilla appetizer, roast lamb meshoui entree. Great service and fun... waiter was very fun with DS4, the belly dancer came to our table... DS was a little shy to dance on the floor but some older kids did. I just really enjoyed the musicians.

SOOO yummy! We had a "feast" that doesn't appear to be on the current menu. The brewat rolls and lamb shank were so good.

This was one of our best meals of the trip last year & we are headed back there again this year. EXCELLENT service, beautiful restaurant, & my teenage son LOVED the belly dancer. My meal was the......

Mogador Fish Tagine - marinated fish with olives, lemon confit, potatoes, green peppers, and shermula sauce $27.95

And for dessert--- mine was the Bastilla - crispy leaves of pastry topped with vanilla cream and sprinkled with toasted almonds--

& then my teenage son's dessert- the belly dancer.

We eat at Morocco every time we go to WDW.

My suggestion is to try a "Feast" or if not, at least get the apetizer for two and split - - it has both chicken bastilla and beef brewat rolls along with some marinated veggie salad....this is what we really like. Also, if you like lamb, any lamb dish is quite nice.

Although I do not like it, the morrocan tea (with plenty of mint and sugar) is a treat too.

If you are a coffee drinker and they still offer the Moroccan coffee try it. It is a coffee and espresso mix with a little orange blossom water. I bought some of the water at a local shop because I liked it so much.

I have seen the orange blossom water in the store and on the menu and wondered just what it tasted like.....anyone can give a description?

Thanks!

I know this sounds funny, but my favorite thing was the Mint Tea!

I don't remember specifically what I got at Marrakesh but I do remember that everything was super yummy! So far it's our favorite Epcot restaurant.

I shouldn't have read this thread, now I will be thinking about beef brewats all day - probably my favorite food in the world! I love the lemon chicken and the beef kebabs. The chicken kebabs are very good too, but we eat something similiar at home all the time so I don't get them. The couscous is excellent - we ask for it to be substituted for the rice that they serve with many of the meals now. For desert I tried a baklava sampler that had pistachio (sp.?) baklava - yum!

We're doing the QSDP this year, but I'm going to ask if I can get an order of beef brewat to go. You never know - mid afternoon they might say yes.

My DD8 loves hummis, and we had to practically stop her from licking the plate clean--she ordered that rather than an actual meal.

The food was very good--spiced differently than American style spicing, so be prepared for that, but very good. We aren't going on our next trip only because we want to try different places, and I was able to get an ADR for Les Chefs de France when Remy is scheduled to appear.

We enjoy there dinners but love there appetizers- especially the berwat and bastilla. In fact we love them enough to have purchased the cookbook so I could make them at home. I made the berwat for dinner on Sunday.
