Hi to all,

I've gotten such great answers and idea from everyone, so thanks for that.

Now we will be staying at Pop Century for 10 nights in July. The day we check out, will be our last day at the parks. We are staying that night at the Orlando Vista right outside DTD.

We will be out of TS meals by then so it's out of pocket. We have never been to DTD, so we are looking for a place for dinner. I made an ADR at Rainforest Cafe, but then I realized there may be better choices.

There are 4 of us, two adults, two DD's 9, and 6.

suggestions please.......Within walking would be perfect so we don't have parking issues. We will be able to park for free ( I think) through midnight since that is when our Keys to the World plan expire.

We like Raglan Road and Wolfgang Puck Cafe for table service at DTD. Our son and his wife also have enjoyed the food at House of Blues but I have no personal experience. I do trust their taste though.;)

The Orlando Vista is quite a hike from DTD IMO. It's not far from the entrance drive to DTD but you would have to hike by all the hotels to get to DTD. And DTD itself is fairly large. There is no charge for parking so I would drive if I were you.

Great advice, we have a car, so we'll drive.

any opinions on the Orlando Vista? I pricelined it for $42, and it was rated 2 1/2 upscale.

Do Wolfgang and Earl take ADR's

There isn't any charge for parking at Downtown disney unless you valet.

Our downtown disney hotel (royal plaza) had this free van service over there, it was great. I think he made his rounds, so check for him.

As far as food in DTD. Check out the new Raglan Road, the food is fantastic, wonderful atmosphere. It gets very busy later in the evening, so make a reservation.

House of blues is also quite good.

For fast food, earl of sandwich of course, it is ok, but I would want to end my stay with something great!!

I think your best option is Rainforest, especially your 9 and 6 year olds. Our friend's DD6 LOVED it! The atmosphere is great, and the food is always delicious!

Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Portobello Yacht Club...I don't really like the Rainforest and have had some service issues with Earl in the past few months.

I do very much like Raglan Road as well.

I agree with Raglan Road or Wolfgang Puck. Both have great food. Rainforest may be fun for the kids but the price of the food for the quality just isn't worth it. It's a chain restaurant and for your last night at WDW, why not try something that you couldn't get closer to home?

I believe you can make an ADR at both RR and Wolfgang's, but I'm not 100% positive. Someone else can hopefully confirm.

You can make reservations for Raglan Road through Disney - I think WG upstairs as well (I've only just eaten in the counter service area, which I really like). I did just book for a guest WP by dialing direct for their upstairs on the Westside - the reservation number definitely appeared to be a Disney type res number.

You can book a reservation for WP Cafe as well as Raglan Road through WDW Dining.

Here's the menu they have listed here on the site. (Click Dining at the very top of the page and then you can look at the menu for just about any restaurant on property.)
