hello everyone, I'll be staying at the Grand Floridian for my 21st birthday in a couple of weeks. I'm looking for suggestions for my birthday dinner, for myself and my mother. all suggestions are welcome-kids and characters don't bother me, a dress code might! :rotfl2: also, i'm open to all foods-except sushi! :confused3 I've heard good things about the California Grill so far, so all of your suggestions are welcome, thanks.

:welcome: to the Disboards! And a :bday: to you! I am sure you will get wonderful suggestions on here! Yet since you are going in only a couple of weeks, I would suggest going immediately to allears.net and read menus and look at pics of where you might like to eat and then get on the phone immediately and call to see if you can get an ADR (Disney reservation) Good luck!

thanks for that, I use allearsnet a lot, really useful. Does anybody know if you need reservations for Raglan Road? I'm Irish so I'll be going there either way, birthday or not! :yay:

We celebrated my DD's bday at 1900 Park Fair a few years ago. It was wonderful. We pre-ordered the Cinderella slippers for dessert (even though dessert was included already). They were to die for! We had a really good time and our waitress was very nice about her birthday and gave her a cupcake "to go".

California Grill would be an excellent choice. We eat there on every trip. We had dinner there last month and it was fantastic . We always start with one of there flatbreads, they are so good. I had the pork tenderloin with polenta on this last visit and it was excellent. The pork was so tender and the polenta was out of this world. :)

thanks for your suggestions everyone. we ended up going to the 50's prime time (not very fancy but sill fun and the food was good!). we had planned on trying Caifornia Grill but never got a chance. Oh, and we tried Raglan Road and were less than impressed. Authentic Irish food, me thinks not! the meat was "Irish", that's about it though. disappointed! :sad2:
