DBf-turned-FH says that I should be able to figure this out on my own, but...

We want to celebrate our engagement this weekend, just the two of us. We got engaged on the 4th at Sunset Pointe at the Poly :teeth: and are looking for a nice place for dinner. We're going to do the Brown Derby for lunch, and I haven't a clue where to go for dinner. I want to go some place we haven't reviewed at dinner yet, some place that's not in the works already, and can't afford Victoria and Albert's just yet. The menu at Flying Fish doesn't quite thrill us, either.

In park or out of park doesn't matter. If in park, though, we prefer Epcot. I'm looking at:

Le Cellier
Alfredo's
Chefs de France
Jiko
California Grill
Narcoossee's

We're planning on Citricos for either our birthdays or before MNSSHP, so that's out. Doesn't necessarily have to be romantic or fancy, though, either. And Le Cellier is our favorite Disney restaurant, we went for Valentine's Day dinner and lunch recently, and I've been itching to go back for dinner.

Any suggestions?

(PS - WCC review will be up tomorrow night, along with Kona desserts and the Plaza)

Hands down, this is one of the best places to dine on property. The food is excellent and so is the service. And the views are just breathtaking. Try to get a PS on a night that they will have Wishes playing, make sure to ask for a window table and definitely tell them about your special event.

Oh & CONGRATULATIONS!!

Thanks for the quick reply!

Honestly, I had been leaning towards it, and needed a little push. Got a PS for 9:40, and Wishes is at 10. We'll try to get there very early and see if we can get a window seat.

I would say the California Grill.

Artist Pointe is very nice also.

Artist Pointe or California Grill. Two favorites.

In fact, I'm celebrating my birthday at Artist Pointe at the end of this month. Looking very forward to it.

Good Luck and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

Being married is sooooo great. ::yes::

We went to Artist Point in May and had a pretty disappointing experience. I wish we had gone to California Grill at that time.

Here was our experience.

Edit: thanks for all the congrats, btw :sunny:

I definitely think California Grill sounds perfect for the occasion! What a great way to celebrate - watching WISHES from way up in the Contemporary!

Have a wonderful meal! I will be watching for the review!

Congratulations again!

I just sent you a pm about your review of Artist Point. We've had our best dining experience at Jiko's (our server was Naseer), if you ever wanted to try it in the future. I think California Grill is a great choice though!

Another vote for California Grill!

And best wishes to you and your FH--I feel like I know you guys from all your fantastic reviews.

Congrat!!!!!From your posts it sounds like your FH is a nice guy. Thanks for all your wonderful reviews Will the Wedding be at Disney??

Congrats to you both ~ I really enjoy your reviews.

But just wanted to say congrats! You guys are living my dream! Enjoy!

Really, you guys are great :teeth: I'm really looking forward to do the review for CG for you guys. You all make it worth all the time it takes!

TwingleMum: yes, FH is definitely a Nice Guy(tm)! Every girl needs to find someone like him. ;) And yes, we're planning on it being at Sunset Pointe at the Polynesian. That's why FH proposed there! We're planning on an Intimate wedding with a larger reception (don't know if the Poly has receptions?).
