When you eat at the restaurants for dinner can you just ask for more of whatever course you want? For example, if you like the steak can you ask your server for more steak or a double entree right when ordering? We went on our first cruise in Jan. and my husband just told me that he was still hungry after the dinners. (we had been talking about the cruise and the other posts about room service)Thanks!

Yes. They will give you more. Better yet, try another meal and the one your eating. HOwever, they give you many courses and it is very filling.

I dont think you will have any problems ordering more. The servers will do everything they can to make sure you have an "excellent" dining experience

One of the very few frustrating experiences of cruising the first time are the 'live and learn' situations. The DCL servers (or MOST of them, maybe 99%) would have gladly brought your DH another entree. They would've let him order veggies off the child's menu (if he wished) and would've brought him three desserts. They've even been known to order dessert from Palo.

Now you'll need to book another cruise, so your DH can enjoy the meals even more! :earsgirl:

I did actually order 2 entrees one night. It was lobster night and I really wanted the pan fried halibut (or was it cod?). Oh well, I ordered both and the lobster was excellent and the other fish was so big I split it with DH & DS. (The lobster was better though!)

Thank you to all for the dinner info! We do have Cruise # 2 booked for a 4 night April 2006. We leave on Easter and I am already excited! We learned alot on our first cruise and I'm certain will enjoy even more the 2nd one knowing more! First we are off to DisneyLand in 3 weeks!

They will bring you as much as you want of anything you want on the menu.. Yes, this means that you can order a steak and a lobster on lobster night...or order 3 desserts if you want! In addition, they will try their best for things not on the menu, and you can "mix and match." For instance, if the beef dish of the night comes with mashed potatoes and carrots but the fish dish comes with broccoli, you can order your beef with baked potato and broccoli.

Our server learned that my daughter's favorite vege was broccoli--so every night, no matter what else she ordered, she got a plate with broccoli on it. Adults can order off the kid menu and vice versa. They will try to get things from other restaurants (sometimes can't pull this off.) One night, DD wanted a hamburger. I later learned that they had sent someone to Pluto's to get it for her since it wasn't being served that night!

Can you order chocolate souffle while at your normai rotation?
