We will be there a week around xmas but not on any dining plan. I didn't want to be tied down to a reservation every night so I was thinking about 3 of the 7 nights. We're Staying at CS so there are lots of food options there. We're a party of 3 with the youngest being 25.

Considering Ohana's (even though the reviews aren't the greatest) since that's an old favorite. The other 2 are new to us; The Boat House (for steaks), and Via Napoli for pizza+.

Any thoughts or other ideas? I am sure we'll try a few restaurants at CS, too. Thanks.

Honestly - I like Steakhouse 71 for steak (although you will get lots of different opinions.) I've also heard really good things about both their breakfast and lunch menus.

For counter service - I'm a HUGE fan of Flame Tree in Animal Kingdom.

What types of food are you looking for? that might help with recommendations.

Considering I am going with 2 picky eaters, I think I am limited. We would probably avoid seafood. But Ribs, steaks, pastas, chicken and I know everyone like Mexican food so I am sure we'll do lunch there at Epcot.
I personally wanted to try Boma and California Grill, but I don't want to spend $300+ at CG only to hear complaints. lol

I loved Le Cellier, Ohana's, 20 years ago. My lasy Disney dinning was Whispering Cannon and that was just ok. Prior to that, I can't remember.

The Boathouse steaks are very good, as are the sides & apps. Steaks seem to be more popular there than seafood. Via Napoli has been getting some poor reviews lately. But we like it. It’s just 2 of us, we’ll split a salad & pizza or spaghetti. Perfect when we don’t want to be stuffed full. We like basic foods, we’re not adventuring eaters. We go to both Boathouse & Via Napoli frequently.

I should mention my other considerations were Teppan Edo, Polite Pig, and Yachtsman.

Seems Teppan Edo has changed since went 10+ years ago but we loved it back then. PP would have been a new one but we opted for The Boat House.

Anyone stay at CS that can comment on those restaurants and bars. I am looking forward to some dinners and night caps there.

VN is fun for a group that just wants to chill and the Boathouse is a some place we always visit at least once during WDW stays. Also great for groups and something for everyone spot.
Jaleo is another place greatly loved on our end. I think we like the freedom of DS eateries as there is no need to book ADRs far in advance.
Open Table reservations can generally be made day of. With the exception of NYE and Christmas Eve and Day we no longer need to book far ahead.

The bar at the top of the tower at Coronado is beautiful. We did post wedding rehearsal drinks up there in April out on the deck. Highly recommend that.
