Dinner Choice - Kona or O'Hana??

I've been going over the menus for both of these places and it seems that O'Hana has a lot of variety of food to offer. I do not eat seafood and I see that Kona has a lot of seafood choices. It's just going to be my DS5 & I - which would you recommend??

We've never eaten at O'Hana, but we have numerous times at Kona and it's one of the best meals we've had at Disney, in fact we've been eating there instead of LaCellier.

I've eaten at O'hana once and the food was just OK, but the atmosphere, especially for a 5 year old is great. Hoola-hoops and coconut races, it was alot of fun.

I've eaten at Kona twice, and had wonderful meals both times.

All that said, I have a 9 year old and a 6 year old, so for our upcoming trip I tried to make reservations at O'hana because I thought the kids would enjoy it, but they were solidly booked. I happily punted for Kona.

I like Kona over Ohana. The quality is about the same, but Kona (obviously) has a more varied menu. And I prefer ordering off of a menu to family style or buffet. But Ohana is more fun, especially for the kids.

Food is 10x better at Kona, but it's not real exciting for a 5 year old. 'Ohana will have a loud family environment and kids activities that he could participate in, or just watch, and be entertained. It's got a "cool" factor that Kona doesn't have.

I vote for Ohana's.

fyi - my son didn't like the food there so the server brought him his choice of "kid" food (which turned out to be chicken and fries).

he had a blast with all the activity there

I am another vote for Kona. I love it there. We will be eating there again in January. I always get the Kiddie Kone and split it with my 5 year old. I really should be on the kid menu.

I vote for O'hana, its our fave restaurant on property, but I have never been to Kona!
