We are hoping to go on a Tuesday night during our trip (I think the only other night they're having it while we're there is a Fri. and we figured Tues. would be better?). I can't decide what to do about booking a dinner before the party, or just eating a counter service during the party. Last time we did the party we ate at Liberty Tree (when they still had the characters!) and we LOVED it! I was thinking if we ate before, we'd eat at one of the monorail resorts. What do you all think?? Any suggestions?

I am in the process of trying to figure it out as well!
As of right now, we might do what we did last year...eat at one of the monorail resorts, then hit up the party.

;)
Otherwise, Peco Bills is great for CS.

LOVE their burgers & fries :hippie:

I recommend eating dinner at a counter service restaurant BEFORE the party. You will avoid using up precious party time eating this way and will not be worried if your table service restaurant is slow. If you eat in the park, go EARLIER than 6:30. We ate at Cosmic Rays last year and the lines were out the door AND they changed the menu to a LIMITED menu as we were standing in line! Oh, I wouldn't recommend Cosmic Ray's for the food so if you eat at the park, see if Columbia Harbour House or Pecos Bills is open.

I wish I would have eaten at the resort before we headed to MK for the party. That's my two cents!

I've been trying to decide where to eat dinner as well! We were thinking of making an early reservation (5:00ish) at Tony's. We figured that way we would already be in the park and the kids could get some good food before getting all the candy at MNSSHP.

We ate before at our resort (Boatwrights)...but had to eat really early so we'd make it on time. I'd suggest what PP said- just do CS but do it around 6, before MNSSHP.

we went to MNSSHP on a tuesday night last Sept. it was FABULOUS!! :dance3: We chose to do our dinner at 4:30 pm in the Castle. We figured that our DD5 would be dressed as Belle for the party, so why not eat there. Plus, we would be in the park already and done w/ dinner by the time the party started. it worked out perfectly.

Personally, I'd say to eat in the MK on the party night. You can get in w/ your MNSSHP ticket at 4, so you can make your dinner ADR's early enough before the party starts at 7:00. We chose to do that because we didn't want to "fight the crowds" coming out of the MK and going in for the party.

I wouldn't make your ADR's later than 5 or 5:30 though.... you don't know what your wait time will be for the table and you def. don't want to be eating while the party is going on..... you don't want to miss the first parade!!! (or any candy!!!)

We are going to make reservations at Kona - one of the latest lunch sittings, then if we get hungry during the party might split a CS Meal in the park, without wasting too much time at all.

I had considered doing this either at our resort (we'll be moving from BLT to AKV that day) or either the Poly counter service. Yeah, the later it gets at night, the more they limit the menu at Cosmic Ray's. We've had that happen to us as well.

DH was actually thinking of doing Tony's, which we have never eaten here. Is it good? I think if we do end up eating the park before hand, it will be here.

I LOVE KONA!!! Now you've got me wanting to eat here tonight! I love the chocolate banana creme brulee:love:

And they DO give a LOT of good candy! Don't want to miss any of it!:dance3:

This will be our first time eating at Tony's. I've read mixed reviews, but we are not picky eaters and figured lasagna and spaghetti are pretty hard to mess up!! I think it will be a nice meal and I'm excited to see the Lady & Tramp themed restaurant!

We eat "lunch" around 2PM and then have "dinner" at either Pecos Bill or Columbia Harbour House by taking the food out onto the street and sitting and waiting for the Boo To You Parade around 10PM

Where also doing MNSSHP on a tuesday, right now I have us going to O'hannas for a 7pm dinner. 2009 when we where there the frist Parade was pack, the second one was much better. I really do not want to do dinnier any earlyer

we were staying at SSR so we hung out by the pool, went to Plaet Hollywood-DTD,then went to the MMNSSHP right at 4-4:30. picked on ice cream, popcorn at teh party and when we got back to SSR we had a flatbread.

you got more love on the same thread subject than I did :thumbsup2 I finally decided on the plaza at 4:55. We were going to do CRT but the only time they had available for the night we're planning on going was at 5:30 and I didn't want to run too close to 7. We're going to Akershus on our last morning so I'll probably have my girls wear their dresses again that morning. I am soooo excited!!!!!

we have eaten before and during, I am for sure sticking to eating before! not all CS is open during the party, so beware! This time around we are doing Crystal Palace before the party, not my favorite option, but I like the ease of being in the park already!

We are eating at the Plaza right before the party begins.

I got an ADR for 5:10 pm, but I'm a little worried because on the reservations site, it lists dinner as being served until 5:00 pm.

I actually wanted 5:00 pm, but I took the 5:10 since 5:00 wasn't available.

Originally, we were going to eat at Columbia Harbor House, but I read where many of the counter service locations close early.

I'm subscribing to this thread. We too are planning on doing the party on a Tuesday night. I was thinking heading over to Chef Mickey's for dinner. Not sure what time though. I guess I should get an early reservation for dinner. BUT, maybe we'll stick to in the park. WHy are things soooo hard. :rotfl:

Well at least it's good to know I'm not alone on this dilemma lol. I've narrowed down our choices to three options: 1) eating an earlier lunch and getting dinner at the Poly counter service
OR
2) ADRs for Tony's (still not sure on the time yet)
OR
3) Eating at our resort (AKV) before we head out.

Now if only we can agree on which one to do:confused:

We always eat CS at about 405pm( once we enter the park for the party) TS dining takes up too much time and eats into valuable park/party time
